Indeed, we've shown you some of these before! These are just like those.
If you visit the extras menu, go to passwords and enter jmsotsynrn, you'll get the Type 17 pistol.
Nice enough, but entering aottrykmyn will get you the Snake-dressed-as-Altair costume that left the Internet scratching its head a few months back.
It even matches his moustache! :)
In an interview with game site Kikizo, Itagaki describes the advantages of working with Microsoft — which included access to a troop of playtesters. But still, the Xbox 360 isn't exactly tearing up the Japanese hardware charts. Why is that? Itagaki offers this:
Yeah, there's nothing that can be done about that. Things like economic policies, the fact that the size of the size of the population of children in Japan is dwindling, people are moving away from console gaming — there are a lot of factors involved, it's not just Xbox 360 doesn't do well in Japan because it's Xbox; there's a whole load of societal factors involved there. It's not as though the hardcore would make a big difference. This all goes back to decisions t... More »
As with Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, it’s clear that we can expect visuals that rival even some of the more impressive PS2 titles.
A release date for Birth By Sleep has yet to be announced.
1. Life Gauge
Keeping the Life Gauge topped up is vital, but it’s just as important not to panic and keep filling the gauge unnecessarily with precious items. Though you can replenish it with healing objects such as Rations and Noodles, you should take care not to waste them – especially on higher difficulty levels. Using a Ration when Snake’s Life Gauge is 80% full, for example, is plain foolish. You usually don’t need to even think about refilling the gauge until it drops below 25%. During boss fights or difficult skirmishes, you should instead equip Rations, Noodles or Regain and position them as an “active” item. Once Snake’s health reaches zero, these will be automatically used until your stocks are exhausted.
One other method of restoring Snake’s health ... More »

1. Maniac Mansion Nintendo Entertainment System
Maniac Mansion was one of the greatest games to ever be put on a console of any kind. This was one of the first games I ever went back and played after beating it because it offered alternative endings based on how you played the game. This was a revolutionary game that garners almost no reception or appreciation today. If you can ever find a copy of this game pick it up I promise you that you will not regret it. Here's hoping someone out there reads this and sends me a copy of it for the original NES.
2. Halo 2 Xbox
There is nothing to say about this game that has not already been said. This was the first time I ever felt that I was fully using the potential of my Xbox While I enjoyed Halo 3, it was nowhere near... More »
The film industry is underestimating the threat that digital downloads pose to its traditional revenue streams from sales of physical media such as DVD and Blu-ray movie discs, claims the founder of download service iLoaded.
The issue is in the news this week, following reports of the imminent UK launch of movie downloads via Apple’s iTunes store and the continuing and increasing growth of user-friendly, legal movie download services from companies such as LoveFilm and iLoaded.
“The DVD is only 10 years old and yet the doom merchants are predicting it could join the likes of VHS tapes,” reads a report in today’s Media Guardian, adding, “even DVD industry insiders admit the format may eventually die out.
The report continues: “Yet they argue that the collectability of box sets, the convenience of re-watchable discs and the relatively slow growth of downloads mean there is still plenty of life left in the little silver discs.”

Daily GameFunk analyzes the 360's prospects for the immediate and long-term future. With the 360 being surpassed by the Wii in North America, and the Playstation 3 in Europe, the article seeks to answer the question: Is the 360 dead? And if not, what can Microsoft do to keep the 360 viable against strong competition?
In terms of sales, the 360 has been struggling to gain its footing on very slippery slope this year. After being the leading console in the US for more than 2 years, it was finally surpassed by the Wii at the end of May.
In addition to this, Sony announced a few weeks ago that they had finally outsold the 360 in Europe, landing another critical blow to the 360. With this on top of numerous other issues, many have began contemplating whether or not Microsoft has already closed up shop on the 360 and began looking at future consoles. However, this is simply not the case.

In fall of 2008, two of the industry’s premier shooters will face off in Resistance 2 (PS3) and Gears of War 2 (360).
Resistance, a PS3 launch title, found its way into gamers’ homes and hearts following a stream of positive reviews from the gaming media. Though it sorely lacked the polish of Gears of War in terms of its visuals, it more than made up for its blemishes with a terrific story, solid gameplay and an excellent multiplayer component.
Gears of War, a title that did not see the light of day until over a year after the Xbox 360 was released, featured a brilliant singleplayer campaign with unsurpassed visuals and seriously addictive gunplay. Since their releases, Insomniac and Epic have had more than ample time to optimize each title’s engines in order to get the most out of their respective consoles.
