More news on the mandatory install of the upcoming Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm that is set to release in a couple of days!

As we go hands-on with the retail build of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, a mandatory install popped up having you wait for at least 15-20 minutes to install the 3.9GB Data of the game.

Now that takes almost 4GB space in my 18GB free space that I have...

Just a bit earlier today LittleBigPlanet Patch v1.01 was released, and now v1.02 is also available. It's confirmed this revision does remove the entire vocals for the track containing words from the Qur'an... essentially turning it into an instrumental once applied.

To quote: This one does neuter Tourmani Diabate's song "Tapha Niang", silencing the two lyrics borrowed from the Qur'an, putting the game into the state it will presumably be when you all get hold of it in two weeks' time. In actual fact, it removes the entire vocal track, leaving a pleasant instrumental.

There's no word on what else the patch does, but then you won't notice, since the game isn't out yet. Unless you're in the secret club, obviously, in which case you can join us sulking about how t... More »

After unveiling the first details nearly two weeks ago of FROM Software's Demon's Souls, PS3FanBoy has now made available a hands-on review from this year's Tokyo Game Show as follows:

Immediately the demo begins and I'm confronted by a character customization screen, allowing me to change various aspects of my appearance. I didn't tinker, mostly because I wasn't sure what did what thanks to the language barrier.

Customizing my appearance would've been a waste of time anyway, as the camera sits behind the character for the majority of the time and his face is hidden by a large medieval helmet.

The gameplay starts in a courtyard in front of a large castle. A small fountain lies ahead, slowing down the game with its unnecessary, though meager, particle effects.

Despite some fairly decent graphics, the game has an overwhelming sense of... More »

Square Enix has posted their list of titles they'll be dishing out at the Tokyo Game Show, indicating which are playable, and which will video-only at the October event.

Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and Final Fantasy Agito XIII are showing up as video only.

Hopefully they'll be on the outside of the usual Closed Mega Theatre, and be more than just trailers.

At least a video walk-through of gameplay is something to hope for.

Last we heard, it was still up in the air somewhat as to whether upcoming PlayStation 3 consoles would house the elusive 65-nanometer RSX graphics processor.

According to couch21, a curious buyer of Sony's newest 80GB unit, there is a smidgen of data that hints at a 65nm chip actually being under the hood. By using the oh-so-scientific Kill-A-Watt, he discovered that his older 40GB PS3 sucked down 125.8-watts when idle, while the fresh 80GB edition ate up just 111.9-watts.

The findings were similar when looking at power draw during DVD playback and while spinning Metal Gear Solid 4. Unfortunately, this mighty fine fellow is planning to return the new unit after being disappointed by the minimal energy savings, so he's not apt to rip the thing open and prove once and for all what kind of GPU is in there.

Meanwhile, we heartily suggest that someone do just that and put... More »

In an interview with Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation, Tetsuya Nomura offers some interesting details about Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete, Blu-ray version of the film out there is already a certain time. We thought so far only a few bits of footage had been added, but little information and a complete absence of release date proved to be quite strange.

In fact, according to Nomura, these are passages of the whole scenario that have been added and others who have been modified. The Japanese release date has been decided, but it will have to wait (probably to the event DK Σ3713 in early August) so that it is unveiled. Nomura also notes that a big announcement that should accompany the release date, without giving more details. Such vagueness should encourage the wildest rumors.

Tetsuya Nomura is also rapidly on the development of Final Fantasy XIII Versus, a topic that had already provoked a general cafouillage a few weeks ago. The ... More »
