With games like Lair, some of us have grown to dislike the SIXAXIS motion sensing controls, but it’s still nice to have as an optional feature.
Moving on, Pfister revealed that the PS3 version of the game does require a certain amount of data to be installed on the HDD. Interestingly, Pfister said the installation process takes around 5 minutes. That long to install 3340KB of data?
Seems like you may actually need more free space on that HDD, but given the install time, GTA IV most likely won’t take up as much space as other games like DMC 4.
Could this mean all the surrounding buildings are accessible?
More details when they are available, of course!

For those getting in on the MGO BETA, you're going to need not one ID, but, you ready, two other separate IDs. That's right! Your PSN name is apparently worthless.
According to the PlayStation.Blog: Upon launching and going past the main menu, you'll see that you need to sign up for a Konami ID.
What is a Konami ID you ask? It is Konami's service that has actually been around for a while in Japan, which basically allows for a unified account and access across various Konami products and services.
Konami ID will be used for the first time in MGO for the US, and using the Konami ID allows for some of the really unique features we plan to offer the community with MGO.
Once you hit the Konami ID sign up menu option, you should notice something subtle, but really cool: MGO launches the PS3 web browser from in-game and takes you to the Konami ID r... More »

However, while navigating is a joy, Sony Europe have made their usual hash of things - their categorization completely sucks.
On the UK store the main categories are:
Latest
All Games
Game Add-Ons
Videos
PSP Games
Family Games
'other' media (what?!)
We recommend
This is just crazy... so if you're looking for a demo, you need to either go to latest, or if it's not there, look in all games - which are sorted into sub groups by genre, not title. Also, all PSOne games are mixed in with the genres... so if you want a PSone game you need to find it in the melange of other titles... is Sony Europe bonkers?
On the USA store:
New Releases
Downloadable Games

We received this tip via e-mail today: Jan70 (an Administrator) of CDFreaks.com has reported that the Lite-On DH-401S drive can read Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) game discs!
Sure, we've been dumping PS3 images since 6 days after the U.S. launch HERE, however, the big difference is that now users won't have to do it through Linux nor via PS3 SAK anymore... providing they own a Lite-On DH-401S drive.
Of course this doesn't mean they are playable on retail PS3 consoles though (like Linux/SAK image dumps, the PS3 sees the media as a data disc instead of a game disc).
VERY nice find Jan70, and below are a few screenshots and a directory layout for Lost Planet!

Update: Several users are reporting that they are now unable to sign in anymore with PS3 Proxy, receiving error 8002A212.
Additionally, the only changes in 2.30 per Sony are a Redesigned PLAYSTATION®Store, Blu-ray Disc playback now supports DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio output- noting the PS3 system does not support playback of DTS-ES and DTS 96/24 for DVD-Video or DTS-ES Matrix for Blu-ray Discs.

While it was an impressive fake, a video recently surfacing on YouTube claiming to be the Grand Theft Auto IV intro provides more than enough suspicion to be confirmed bogus.
From the start, a short glimpse of the spine of the box revealed dodgy, uneven work, as captured below. A thin manual also presented more doubt.
After an unnecessary cut to the camera pointing at the screen, the intro itself contained an odd choice of music. Moreover, all of the pictures are from previously shown artwork, while official GTA intros contain cinematic scenes, like San Andreas.
All that, coupled with the fact that the person who made and posted the video on YouTube claimed to withhold any gameplay footage so that it wouldn’t “ruin the game for you,” is all we need to know.
