With the popularity of digital downloads, however, the prospect of adding even more beloved characters is entirely possible. Here's 12 famous gaming, movie, and comic book characters that would fit the fighting franchise perfectly.
12- Marcus Fenix: Why not bring a gun to a sword fight? Our pitch--in the midst of a massive battle against the Locust, Marcus Fenix runs out of bullets and calls for the Hammer of Dawn at the same time as the tremendously incompetent Damon Baird. When the streams cross, it creates a vortex that leads to 16th Century. Without any ammo, Marcus is forced to rev up his Chainsaw Bayonet and slice up his opponents in order to find a weapon that can kill the Queen for good.

Download: Ocarina Wii Cheat App
From the ReadMe: Ocarina is a very simple Wii application for your homebrew channel. What it does? Start a game.. but there's a twist of course.
Ocarina checks the GAME ID.. like RZDP01 for Zelda Twilight Princess (PAL). Then it checks the inserted SD card whether it can find a cheat code file for that game: in this case it would have to be name [sd]:codesrzdp01.gct.
To create GCT files.. a PC application is bundled in the package. This application is coming with 2 example files. rsbe.txt and rsbp.txt (Smash Brothers NTSC-U and PAL respectively). Using the File men... More »
I would like to speak to an engineer about this — please have one contact me at bushing (at) gmail.com.
P.S. Sorry for posting this publicly — I tried emailing you three times and never received a response. I am trying to follow the model set forth in http://www.wiretrip.net/rfp/policy.html, so your timely response would be appreciated.
In related news, according to an interview with Marcan posted on the Spanish site ElOtroLado, a Custom Firmware for the Wii is currently in the works.

First: Final Fantasy XIII is still a PS3-exclusive... at least in Japan. According to Kotaku, Square Enix exec Shinji Hashimoto told reporters: "I think you are right [in assuming that (the Xbox 360 version) is not coming out in Japan.]" It will only appear on Xbox 360 in English-speaking territories.
In addition, Final Fantasy XIII will release in Japan first -- and then will be localized for the international audience. That means Japanese gamers will enjoy FFXIII on PS3 long before the rest of the world will see it go multiplatform.
Hashimoto says that the Xbox 360's large install base in English territories is what led to the decision to make the game multiplatform. Because the decision was recent, there's ... More »

Yes, it does work fine, and we have successfully downgraded a PS3 Test to version 1.00! Version 1.00 is quite neutered for a TEST, about the only thing that works is the ability to run code from a DVD/BD, aside from that just about everything is non-functional.
More to come in those regards, including our ability to install and dump Retail PKG's on a Debug PS3 console!
Now onto the rumors: As we all know, many have been trying (but failing terribly) to dump the EEPROM chip inside the PS3's controller.
Our very own talented Courier successfully removed and dumped the chip, a picture o... More »
This is the one that slows the analog part of the controller down over time, so that when you play a title like Katamari Damacy the Prince will get tired. A lot more details are available linked above.
To quote in part: So, this is my analog version of a playful Playstation 2 controller for the PSX project — the one that slows the analog part of the controller down over time so, you know.. when I’m playing Katamari Damacy it’s a bit more realistic that the Prince gets tired or during GTA, my guy actually gets tired from running away from liquor store heists and stuff.
I’m looking at two approaches. The first is digital — basically intercepting and modifying the communication between the console and the controller. (I’ve described the protocol, and there’s lots of great, hard-gained information out and about... More »
Manucc1, a member of Spanish community Elotrolado (linked above), believes there may be a possible PS3 exploit in the PS3 Controller... although SIXAXIS or DS3 is not specified, and it could work in a similar manner to the Pandora Batteries in the PSP.
This claim is based primarily on speculation that in the PS3 controller there is a chip that is the same as on PSP, and it is alleged to control Firmware in some fashion.
Info on the chip is available HERE, and a list of IC chips in PS3 is available HERE.
This EEPROM chip may allow Firmware to be installed (when you install Firmware on PS3, you always have to use the controller... before 2.1, you had to plug the controller in via USB).

We have had quite a few requests as to how the BD-Emulator on a PS3 TEST console works, and thought the best way to show how it works is through a video!
After formatting a USB HDD (in this case, a 500GB EIDE Drive hooked to the PS3 via an old USB CDROM enclosure) in the PS3, it is transferred to a PC. Once transferred, a properly decrypted, patched and remastered retail game is written to the drive. The drive is then plugged back in via USB to the PS3 TEST, while off.
The Drive is then turned on, followed by the PS3. Once the PS3 is on the BD-Emulator is set to USB. DEV is for a PS3 TOOL, which has an additional internal HDD for BD-Emulator purposes, and BD Drive is self explanatory. The PS3 then gets rebooted.
Upon reboot is where the video starts, it first shows the previous settings in the PS3, and then the game that was remastered, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is started from BD-Emulator. The BD-Emulator ... More »
