Explanation: So on this day I give to you a PS3 Tri-Fold Attack Potential release (and Update 1.0 Files, NOT NEEDED- but for those who want to examine the file verification system), all stemming from one game that has a very grave security flaw.
Call of Duty 3: Many games prior to discovering this one, had great potential to write files to the PS3 HDD, such as Resistance: FoM, Motorstorm, and Warhawk. Warhawk was a particularly good one at that cause at the time we managed to overwrite other game param.sfo's.
An example of this happened before the release of Unreal Engine 3, when Epic Games’ own projects — Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 2007 (later renamed to Unreal Tournament 3) — were touted as the company’s showcase titles for the latest Unreal technology.
Back in August 2005, Epic Games vice president Mark Rein revealed that the creators of the Unreal games and technology have already begun work [two years before in 2003] on what will eventually become Unreal Engine 4.

Then it dawned on us: maybe they were choosing the wrong movies! Just because a flick is brilliantly written or superbly acted doesn't mean it has any business being turned into a video game. Just a reminder, if anyone sees interesting news we miss feel free to share it with the community via Submit News. That being said, I sold my PS2/PSTwo when the PSP came out, and as a result don't follow much news pertaining to them.
Just this morning a friend let me know the Memento Firmware for the Memor32 PS2 Memory Card being peddled was hacked by TikTok n' Botch... since last year (no, not FreeVast)- news to me, and a few others I asked as well!

First of all, readers of our Forums know (with the assistance of our Members) we have recently been doing research into the PS3 RCO file format.
Note that it is different than that on a PSP, however, contains similarities as well. We have received a few questions as to "why" we want to examine the files... it's for a few reasons. First off- We are all curious! Secondly, the RCO files, in support with other files, enable/disable "links" to PS3 XMB options.
In related news, we have now accessed the PS3 Flash's FileSystem, and among other things (to be posted in Part 2 or 3 of this article) it contains a folder called "ps1emu".
What is it for? We found out! Inside the ps1emu folder, upon the insertion of a PS2 disc, a file is copied there by the name of "ps1_rom.bin". Oddly enough, it is actually the custom made PS2's BIOS for th... More »

As seems to be the norm this console generation, not all games can hit that elusive 720p HD resolution. First Halo 3, then GTA4 (PS3) and now the PS3 exclusive Haze.
As previously reported, a demo of Haze can be found on the Playstation Store, supporting 4 player co-op. Graphically it’s solid, but what’s most impressive is that it runs silky smooth. It runs at a locked 30fps, and even with a host of foliage and enemies on screen - it never dips.
Though there are more impressive looking games on the PS3, it’s with Haze’s gameplay and story that show off its true colours. (More on this in our upcoming preview of both the four player co-op and multiplayer modes.) Nonetheless, for Free Radical to achieve a solid PS3 engine with no loading throughout the game, they’ve had to make some concessions.
