Media Molecule has now released LittleBigPlanet patch v1.03, which aims to lighten server loads. The LBP servers are also still up and down, and Media Molecule is continuing to investigate the cause of the online issues.

To quote: "We are aware that the online environment of LittleBigPlanet is having server performance issues, and we are investigating the cause," Sony told Eurogamer this morning. "We'll have an update to the online gameplay as soon as we possibly can."

Meanwhile, a source close to Media Molecule reminded us that a 1.03 patch has now been distributed, and that the main change was to do with lightening server loads.

Our source said the server problems should be under control by now, and that the developer is keeping an eye on Sony Computer Entertainment America's experience since the game's launch there this week to gauge whether it's necessary to issue additional fixes for Europe.

Then I press X to try to connect again, and almost simultaneously I press the PS button and go to quit. It then says please wait and then the ps3 finally crashes when you hear the 2 beeps.

Mainman has updated his PS3 NAND Extractor/UnPacker to v0.4 recently! Changes to the latest revision include support for multiple dumps. The NAND Tool now scans for files, versus using a fixed position making it much more robust with extracting files.

It includes BETA support for the 40gb PlayStation 3 flash, however, we are still working out a few major bugs prior to a public release.

As mentioned above, extraction now dumps the files, plus additional data including the IDL section. It extracts the MAC Address, and also dumps the asecure loader section. More on this soon..

In other news, we are waiting for the InFeCtuS Team to update their program to support the new Samsung Flash revision, so we can experiment more with our recently discovered PS3 downgrading technique. Until then, not much new to report on this area yet.

Finally, we have been successful with running PS3 Retail ... More »
