Toxic Games Announces Q.U.B.E. 2 is Coming to PlayStation 4

5w ago - Toxic Games Managing Director Dan Da Rocha announced today that Q.U.B.E. 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Hello, Toxic Games here. You may have heard of our first game called Q.U.B.E, which came out on PC in 2012 and is heading to PS3 and PS4 soon. Well, we're now working on the sequel, Q.U.B.E. .

On the team we have the original line-up including myself Dan Da Rocha, Dave Hall, and Jon Savery. Since the launch of the original game we have been busy working on adding extra content to the original to form Q.U.B.E. Director's Cut and are now focusing on bringing Q.U.B.E. to PS4.

The sequel is going to refine the core mechanics of the original. There will be a slew of new and exciting puzzles that will boggle your mind, and a tightly woven narrative which will further expand the Q.U.B.E. universe. Oh, and it's being developed in Unreal Engine 4, so dem cubes are going to be extra shiny... just when you thought cubes couldn't look any better!

And to top it all off, we plan to support Project Morpheus. We've already taken the hardware for a spin and it's shaping up to be something fantastic so we can't wait to get our hands (or gloves?) on a kit to begin developing for it!

Video: Final Fantasy XIV Patch 2.3: Defenders of Eorzea Now Live

50°
10w ago - Square Enix Community Project Manager Hergen Thaens shared a video today spotlighting the Final Fantasy XIV Patch 2.3 announcing Defenders of Eorzea is now live!

To quote: Good morning, everyone! Every few months, something magical happens here at Square Enix.

While we're watching all of you adventurers, fighting your way through Eorzea, we think to ourselves "We should give them more. We can give them more. It's been three months already!" - and then, in a secret and mysterious ceremony, High Priest of the Code Yoshida-san gets the dev team together, places a development PC in a magic circle, together with some Final Fantasy artifacts, energy drinks and fast food, and, using ancient magic, summons forth a mighty content update!

Well, ok. There may be a lot more actual work and a bit less actual magic involved. But that doesn't change the fact that as you are reading this, the update has just been applied to the servers! Also, I'd really love to see the scene described above in art form - any artists reading this?

What do you mean, you don't know what this update adds to the game? We can't have that. Watch the 2.3 trailer right here, right now, and then tell me you're not looking forward to joining in!

Final Fantasy XIV Update Out Today, Sneak Peek at Next Patch

50°
15w ago - Square Enix Community Project Manager Hergen Thaens revealed that the Final Fantasy XIV update is out today, and has shared a sneak peek at the next patch below!

To quote: I's been a while since the last article! How have you all been? We hope you're enjoying your journey through Eorzea, but that's no reason for us to be twiddling our thumbs.

Quite the contrary, as we've been busy preparing Patch 2.28, which we're bringing online today. And the next big patch 2.3 "Defenders of Eorzea" is already on the horizon as well!

I know that some of you don't play Final Fantasy XIV (yet...), so I'll just use two exemplary points for Patch 2.28. You can always find the full patch notes [Register or Login to view links]!

Novus Weapons are here!

It's essential for every adventurer trying to make their way in Eorzea to be appropriately equipped. Currently, there are three paths to weapons that will enable you to beat even the most devastating raid bosses.

Primal weapons, which you can earn by defeating primals, Zodiac weapons, which you can get through a demanding quest chain, and finally: Allagan weapons, which you can acquire through high-level raids in the Coil of Bahamut.

To get your hands on Zodiac weapons, all you...

How to Get Rich in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS4

50°
20w ago - Square Enix Community Project Manager Hergen Thaens shared details today on how to get rich in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS4.

To quote: Hello, everyone! It's been two weeks since the PS4 launch of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and by now a lot of you have found your way into the world of Eorzea.

You've started on your path to becoming a hero among heroes, and soon you'll discover that even the citizens of Eorzea have to make a living.

The currency they require for this is called Gil. Equipment needs to be bought and occasionally repaired, food and potions are required, and teleporting is so damn comfortable, yet expensive

Because I can relate all too well, I thought that the best solution would be to present you with the top seven ways to make some good Gil in Final Fantasy XIV. Please note that these are just rough pointers - every server is different, so you'll still have to do some research on your own!

Quests

Quests are the lifeline of every adventurer who brings his first class up in these harsh environments. A lot of quests not only reward Gil, but also give you the choice of choosing another item - often among them are Allagan Pieces, which can be exchanged for Gil. Make sure to check if you can't get the equipment...
