119w ago - Today XBox 360 hackers GliGli and Tiros have released an XBox 360 Reset Glitch Hack for both the Fat and Slim models, which includes source code and a demo video below courtesy of Razkar2011 via YouTube.
To quote: The XBox 360 reset glitch hack - Introduction / some important facts: tmbinc said it himself, software based approaches of running unsigned code on the 360 mostly don't work, it was designed to be secure from a software point of view.
The processor starts running code from ROM (1bl) , which then starts loading a RSA signed and RC4 crypted piece of code from NAND (CB).
137w ago - As a follow-up to the previous XBox 360 Slim Backup news, today the x360Key hard drive game loader is officially announced along with a video of an x360Key prototype running an AP25 protected game on XBox Dashboard version 2.0.12625.
To quote: Running a custom Linux system, x360key is capable of immaculately emulating the optical disk drive in Xbox 360, allowing you to play all your Xbox 360 (and Xbox 1) games from any USB media. It is compatible with all Xbox 360 models, both Fat and Slim, and offers advanced features such as emulation of the AP25 protection.
After more than a year in development We are proud to announce one of the most sophisticated backup loaders the world has ever seen. Backed by a team of hardware experts and some of the most renowned and respected members of the Xbox hacking community We have no doubt this will be an instant success!
We are now taking preorders and the first shipments to distributors are expected to be sent out in mid-July.
User friendly: intuitive interface, no soldering required
Compatible with all fat (and soon slim!) Xbox 360 models
139w ago - Every once and awhile when something big happens in the non-PS3 console scene we report it, and this weekend C4E has released iXtreme Slim LT+ which allows the world's first game backups to run on an XBox 360 Slim console!
Realtime checks of drive firmware and ram by dashboard - Rootkit technology used to pass several realtime check types. These checks on the drive are open ended so as to make replay of the answers impossible. Will pass any check on any part of the drive
Hardware flash modification check - The 1335 chip performs a hardware check on powerup for modified firmware. Chip fooled into thinking firmware is stock
Slim drive locked to read pressed game discs only - Enabled reading of DVD+R DL media for game discs
213w ago - After the release of the hack for Xenon, Falcon/Opus and Zephyr XBox 360 motherboards, today we get the Free60 JTAG / SMC XeLL Hack for Jasper (v4) motherboards with 16MB NAND chips (so NOT compatible with 256 & 512MB NAND yet).
This NAND image will boot your Jasper XBox 360 right into XeLL, which allows you to launch linux distros or run libxenon homebrew software, as long as you never upgraded it via the normal MS upgrade procedures to kernel 849x or higher.
To quote from the NFO File: Finally the Jasper JTAG Hack is here
This is XELL (compiled 11.09.09) inserted into 6712 Jasper-Kernel.
Don't wonder about the Filesize, its correct like that. It just flashes the beginning of the NAND so your console specific data like MAC adress will stay.
