238w ago - It looks as if Call of Duty 7 is already being worked, as an online LinkedIn profile of the Senior Animator at Treyarch has revealed.
To quote: According to a Treyarch designer's online CV, Call Of Duty 7 is already being worked on. Ta-da!
The profile is that of a Senior Animator at Treyarch, which reveals (even though it probably shouldn't): "I am currently on my second title as a senior animator in the games industry with Activision / Treyarch on Call Of Duty 7."
Not really a massive shocker that and we hope no one gets into trouble over it. Begs the question though, how much don't you want Call Of Duty 7 to be set in World War II? Or for it to feature dogs?

To quote: In an interview published today on Kikizo, one of Tecmo's most prominent development staff, Keisuke Kikuchi, said that PS3 "worked better" for them in developing the upcoming shooter Quantum Theory - but admits the game is most comparable to Gears of War.
"Initially, the game concept was built around this game being a PC game... the project was altered slightly, and we tested out the graphics and visual presentation on the PS3. And looking at that, we were pretty confident that we were going to be able to display and execute what we wanted to using the power of the PS3."
He explained that the environmental detail From The trailer was something they wanted to push, adding: "we just thought the PS3 worked better for us."
260w ago - Shuhei Yoshida finally answers the burning question on many, many, many hardcore gamers minds... Where are the RPG's?!
In a poorly translated Japanese interview from a recent Famitsu magazine, a good soul who visits the site has been able to piece together 3 things for us:
1 - Sony is disappointed in their Japanese business model at the moment
2 - Sony is working on 3rd party relations
3 - Sony is developing 5 RPG's internally for their fanbase
While we already knew 2 of those things we, or at least I, didn't know the last one... I remember seeing an incredible looking series of screenshots from the now defunct Gamesblow's Web site in which he said were Legend of Dragoon 2... they were absolutely mind blowing for an RPG.
I can only hope one of these is in fact LOD2. We also know Dark Cloud 3 is being worked on... but the other 3 seem like a mystery to me.
A direct, not entirely accurate reading, of the snippet:
FM - A strong interest here in Japan is in role playing or deep strategy based games, why has Sony not played to these strengths with the PS3?
Shuhei Yoshida - The inception of a console is one of trial and error. It is never one set path one takes to success and success should never come from an easy path. When...
266w ago - Media Molecule has now released LittleBigPlanet patch v1.03, which aims to lighten server loads. The LBP servers are also still up and down, and Media Molecule is continuing to investigate the cause of the online issues.
To quote: "We are aware that the online environment of LittleBigPlanet is having server performance issues, and we are investigating the cause," Sony told Eurogamer this morning. "We'll have an update to the online gameplay as soon as we possibly can."
Meanwhile, a source close to Media Molecule reminded us that a 1.03 patch has now been distributed, and that the main change was to do with lightening server loads.
Our source said the server problems should be under control by now, and that the developer is keeping an eye on Sony Computer Entertainment America's experience since the game's launch there this week to gauge whether it's necessary to issue additional fixes for Europe.
