18w ago - Sony's Mark Rabo of the Sound Shapes Team wished a very Happy Birthday to Sound Shapes who turns one this week.
To quote: We're celebrating a big birthday this week - Sound Shapes turns one! At the age when we were wearing diapers and barely crawling, our strange musical platformer has been out in the real world making things happen.
First he came back with some good reviews, then a bunch of awards, and now he's hanging out with thousands of friends making levels. Who knew our little game would be so driven? As parents, it's real nice to see.
During this birthday week we have lots going on, and you're invited to the festivities. Have a look.
We're holding a level design/jam competition. To participate, create and upload a level highlighting what you love about Sound Shapes and hashtag the title with #BDay. Upload your level by August 19th, 2013. Winners will be announced soon with the launch of the next Milkcrate.
The top six creators will receive a signed, screen printed Sound Shapes poster and will be included in a special 1 Year Anniversary Milkcrate album which will be a permanent part of the Sound Shapes community.

205w ago - This weekend Naughty Dog's Senior Manager of Marketing Communications Arne Meyer has sent Happy New Year 2010 wishes to PS3 fans.
To quote: All of us at Naughty Dog wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year!
2009 has been both incredibly busy AND amazing year for us on all counts. We started the year off working hard on UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves and we had no idea what was going to be in store for us and for our fans as the year progressed.
We had our heads down for most of the year making sure we put together an awesome game that we think you would like, but when E3 came around, we took a moment to stop and realize that things were really coming together as UNCHARTED 2 picked up over 20 awards when all was said and done.
It's safe to say we were stoked to get this recognition and it made us kick things up a notch over the next several months as we were putting the finishing touches on our game. When we released UNCHARTED 2 in October to critical acclaim, we were looking forward to hearing what all of our fans thought on NaughtyDog.com, the PlayStation forums, Twitter and anywhere else on the Internet you discussed our game.
Now, we're wrapping up the year watching our game win Game of the Year...
206w ago - Today Insomniac Games Community Relations Manager James Stevenson has posted a warm 'Happy Holidays' greeting to PS3 fans on the official PlayStation Blog.
To quote: A very Happy Holidays to you all from all of us here at Insomniac Games.
This is a great time of year for all of us, as we take time off to be with our family, friends, and to play all of the videogames from this year that we missed out on while making Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time.
Some of us will be busy exploring with Nathan Drake in UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves, others will be unlocking the powers of Cole MacGrath in inFAMOUS. We might find ourselves buried in BioWare's latest epic Dragon Age: Origins, or maybe just jamming out to Lego Rock Band with the family.
Regardless, it's an exciting holiday season with a ton of good games. Hopefully you've had the chance to check out Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, but if not, it's the perfect game to cash in those gift cards for (in our humble opinion).
Every year, we send out Christmas cards to close friends and partners...
