Oh, do we have dinosaur news for you. The folks behind Turok -- a fresh start for the FPS franchise that's scheduled to ship in February -- stopped into the IGN offices the other day to show some new beasts and weapons, but that was just the beginning of their goody bag.
The biggest announcement for you, crazed-Turok fan: a demo is coming.
Yes, if you plunk down $5 at your local GameStop in the early part of November, you'll preorder the game, get a Turok T-shirt and walk away with a 30-minute Xbox 360 demo of the upcoming title. Have you already preordered it? Your store should be holding your demo and shirt. No GameStop around? You can grab the demo at Best Buy in December.

So I popped the demo into my PSP and started it up. On the main screen you have three options: Start Demo, Options, and Treasures. Under options you can adjust music and sound volume and view the controller layout– nothing out of the ordinary.
Under treasures, there are 5 spots. The first one says Attica Walkthrough, which is an overview of the first level (playable in the demo) and explained by one of the game directors. The other four spots just say Locked.

Unreal Tournament III finally gets released in the US tomorrow and one of its developers, Art Production Manager Chris Mielke, has posted some tips on the PlayStation.Blog.
So if you're picking the game up at any point, make sure you take note of Chris' advice. While the main bulk of his post is a walkthrough of the level "Suspense" he also includes some random pearls of wisdom. Check out the blog post and try to osmose as much information as you can in readiness of tomorrow.
We love the idea of developers coming online and giving tips about their upcoming titles. We've seen this before with "things to try" lists for demos and would be happy to see the trend continue. Not that there are many other games coming for the rest of the year - which is fine by us. We're swamped with all the great releases over the last two months.

THQ slams back into DS wrestling after last year's disaster.
This morning, THQ revealed WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009 for multiple platforms. We've already covered most of them in our other preview, but we wanted to focus on the Nintendo DS edition to tell DS fans what they can expect. A few fundamental changes for the series should make it a much better experience than last year's merely average chapter.
Primarily, Smackdown Vs. Raw's development is now in the hands of a new team, the folks at Tose (who developed the awesome Dragon Quest Rocket Slime). Based on an early preview build we saw in action, the 3-D action holds up well, and the wrestlers look and mimic their real-life counterparts. We watched a match between the high-flying Rey Mysterio and the powerhouse Batista, and it almost resembled watching a real WWE event in action. There are some camera issues (especially with wrestler introductions), but the THQ rep assured us that they will be fixed in the ... More »

Sony have released a video demonstrating the newly redesigned PlayStation Store, set to launch later this month.
The clean new look certainly makes the store easier to navigate, and the ability to watch video previews of PSN titles straight from within the store is icing on the cake.
In other PS3 related news, the upcoming 2.30 firmware will feature support for DTS-HD Master Audio. The update is due out on April 15 worldwide.

First off, there are some pretty big changes. While Reggie Fils-Aime is still at Nintendo, Phil Harrison and Peter Moore have now bitten the dust from Sony and Microsoft and are now at EA Sports and Atari which means no fun with them this year (Especially Peter).
But what can Sony pull out of the bag for their conference this year? Well, we tell you all here what could possibly happen at that conference on July 15th.
Hardware: This will most likely be the PlayStation 2's final appearence at E3 after the short time they had on it last year. There could be one final swansong game for the PS2 unveiled at E3 to send the console off to Videogaming heaven but that is very doubtful sadly.
