In a recent post on his blog, God of War I director David Jaffe comments on what's he's seen so far regarding God of War III.

Ok, so he doesn't say EXACTLY what he's seen (NDA), but he does have some quite "colorful" comments to describe what he saw.

Here is the comment at the end of David's post that somewhat confirms what has been the talk of the town regarding God of War III's visuals.

"ps. I saw GOD OF WAR III when I was in Santa Monica last week. I can and will not give away details. But I think it's ok for me to say two things:

a- HOLY HOLY HOLY F-ING HELL!
b- I thought GEARS OF WARS 2 looked about as good as a next-gen game could look... and that game is currently- and will probably remain- my game of the year.

And hell, I think I actually get to vote on that kind of stuff in some circles :) And unless I get blown away by POP o... More »

MotorStorm: Pacific Rift's Game Director Nigel Kershaw has shared some online play tips today over at the PS Blog as follows:

There’s a few different ways of experiencing Pacific Rift online, here’s the low down and some tips -

Matchmaking
We wanted to ensure that players could find another game quickly, but also that once they got into a game they didn’t have to rely on the host to get the race started. There are two options when matchmaking: Ranked or Casual. Ranked pitches you against players of a similar skill level whilst Casual will put you up against anyone and everyone.

Matchmaking will, quite simply, group players together who are looking for a game, pick a Ticket for them (a race setup) and get them into a race as quickly as possible. And don’t worry, if you don’t like the Ticket that is randomly chosen for you - it’s possible to veto it (if you get a majority vote).

If you can’t find a mat... More »

Today Travis Williams (Sr. Producer, SCEA) revealed that November will an exciting month for PAIN fans as the the next environment, dubbed Movie Studio, is on the way. Basically it's their take on the wackiness of movie making, as the video below points out.

To quote: So to directly contradict my earlier statement … PAIN development is (at least somewhat) a democracy. We have listened to what you wanted and tried our best to make sure all the things that you wanted are in this area.

That includes (but isn’t limited to):

• More than one launcher location (There are three that you can dynamically switch to)
• Single Player Fun with Explosives
• New Cratetastic Mode
• Unlockable FREE Character
• HORSE Mode
• Bowling Mode (With all new distractions)

Movie Studio is the first area that we created after hearing all your input (democracy aga... More »

The Official PlayStation Forums is holding a vote to see if they should make created levels and items from the BETA test available when the game launches, or if they should remove everything and the shared side of the game started from scratch.

384 people have voted so far and 84% say that the levels should be made available when the game launches versus 16% option for starting fresh. If the current votes are anything to go by, it seems pretty safe to assume that the levels will be made available.

To quote: With the LittleBigPlanet BETA coming to a close on October 12th at 23:59 GMT, we'll be getting everything ready for the launch of the game.

As many of you are doubtless aware, at present we are not planning to make shared creations from the beta test available in the full version of the game, however we're aware that a lot of time and effort has been put into what you've created so far.

With this in mind we're going to give you th... More »

Home is highly anticipated throughout the PlayStation community. Many are saying that this is going to change the way we socialise on our consoles, and we here at That Gaming Site agree, well just myself and Ankido. Mehar our Xbox reporter and founder of the site, has different opinions, which will be expressed a bit later on.

Innovation seems to be a huge part of the Sony label. They keep bringing new creations and ideas to the table all the time. We’ve heard and seen the likes of Eye Pet, MAG, Little Big Planet, and the big Sony project, they called Home. Like I said before. Home is highly anticipated by many and is set to deliver a whole new console experience.

So with all this hype and excitement surrounding Home, Microsoft must be slightly worried? Or so we would all assume right? What “Game Plan” does Microsoft have to tackle the long awaited release of Home? Is it the new Dash Board and avatars? We will start with my opinions on this.
