19w ago - BitComposer Games PR Manager Daniel Krauss shared a video today showcasing the napalm-infused action of Thunder Wolves, which hits PSN on August 13th, 2013.
To quote: As kids in the '80s, we grew up with outrageous action heroes capable of toppling entire regimes without ever reloading - and as for how those bullets made everything explode... some questions just aren't worth asking.
Not everyone needs complicated storylines with brotastic melodrama, or epic amounts of padding to fill the hours. Sometimes, we simply have the urge to grab a controller and blow $#!& up from a chopper.
Maybe it seems weird to mention destruction as a 'feature' of gameplay, but in Thunder Wolves, out August 13th on PSN, we have buildings crumbling into searing clouds, tanks exploding on impact, foot-soldiers being utterly vaporized, and... you get the idea. In short, Thunder Wolves is a little adrenaline-surge rolled up with the perfect after-work stress relief.
28w ago - Following up on their previous confirmation that the PlayStation 4 / PS4 console won't block used games, some top Sony employees have also responded to the Twitter movement (hashtags #PS4NoDRM and #PS4USEDGAMES) to accept used video games and remove DRM (digital rights management) protection from them.
The movement started (via neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=568033) with the intended goal being to convince Sony not to take the same route as Microsoft with the PS4. They also want people to tell Sony that the PlayStation 4 should be region free and have free online play.
Below are some excerpts from some high-ranking Sony staffers revealing that the company is listening to consumers and gamers alike, as follows:
John Koller, the head of Sony Hardware Marketing commented (twitter.com/jpkoller): This is why I love PlayStation fans- the passion bucket overflows #playstation
While Nick Accordino, an SCEA producer, added (twitter.com/Nikoro): Humbled by the outpouring of passionate PlayStation fans and their willingness to talk to us directly. Please know that we hear you. <3
To quote from Eurogamer (linked above): "Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has told Eurogamer that PlayStation 4 will not block the use of second-hand games, contrary to various reports, speculation and even a Sony patent unearthed last month.
I sat down with Yoshida a few hours after the PS4 reveal tonight and one of the first things I asked was whether used games would be blocked.
"Do you want us to do that?" he asked.
No, I said. I think, if you buy something on a disc, that you have a kind of moral contract with the person you've bought it from that you retain some of that value and you can pass it on.
Do you agree, I asked?
"Yes. That's the general expectation by consumers," said Yoshida. "They purchase physical form, they want to use it everywhere, right? So that's...

To quote: "By trading in a PS3 with one controller and the AV cables, GameStop will offer you a big $200 bucks (store credit). It doesn't matter if you have the fat or the slim PS3s. The store will gladly give you a store credit of $200 regardless of what model. Just make sure it works though!
Trading it towards something else is a great idea for this deal. Don't miss it! It only last until July 18th."
