Video: Skullgirls Encore: Eliza and PSN Avatars Out Today on PSN

4w ago - Lab Zero Games CEO Peter Bartholow shared a video today announcing that both Eliza and PSN Avatars from Skullgirls Encore are out today on PSN.

To quote: It's been a few months since we released our second Indiegogo-funded DLC character, Big Band. I'm happy to announce that Eliza, our third character, will be released today in Skullgirls Encore.

Eliza is a diva with a dark secret, and our most ambitious character to date. Eliza fights by manipulating her own blood to attack her enemies, constantly shape-shifting into a variety of Egyptian mythological symbols and cultural icons.

Our creative director, Alex Ahad, has meticulously researched Egypt's lore and packed nearly every one of Eliza's 1,548 frames with references.

Eliza can also summon her bodyguards, Albus and Horace, as well as dislodge her skeletal Parasite, Sekhmet, making her one of our most varied and dynamic characters to date.

Eliza's story mode is our most comprehensive yet. With more than 80 pieces of art, it dives deep into Skullgirls' lore and reveals a lot of the inner workings of the Skullgirls universe. Definitely not to be missed!

And finally, as we always do with our DLC characters, Eliza will be completely...

Video: Metro Redux for PS4 by 4A Games Out Today on PlayStation 4

9w ago - 4A Games Studio Rep Bi50N made available a PS4 launch trailer video announcing that Metro Redux is officially out today on PlayStation 4.

To quote: It doesn't seem that long ago that we were revealing Metro Redux to the world - today we're incredibly proud to announce the launch of Metro Redux for PS4!

The entire team at 4A Games has been working for a year on this project, under some incredible circumstances (as anyone who has followed the news coming out of Ukraine will know).

Metro Redux includes both Metro: Last Light and the prequel Metro 2033, which has never been available on a PlayStation console until now.

We completely rebuilt Metro 2033 in our latest engine, and managed to get both games to run at 1080p, targeting 60fps on PS4. You can try each game individually via PlayStation Store for $24.99, or get both together in the retail Metro Redux double pack.

From everyone at 4A, thanks for all the support we've received this year - we hope you enjoy what we think is the definitive Metro experience.

To celebrate the launch, we put together a new trailer.

Video: Hello Games on No Man's Sky - A Whole Universe to Explore

9w ago - Hello Games Managing Director Sean Murray shared details below today on No Man's Sky proclaiming it's a whole universe to explore on PlayStation 4!

To quote: Hello PlayStation.Blog! I'm Sean Murray, and I work at a little indie studio in the UK, making a game called [Register or Login to view links] on PS4.

I'm writing this on a plane back from Gamescom, where we showed some press the game behind closed doors.

We've only done three days where we've talked to press about the game so far (two at E3 and one at the VGXs last year), but for an indie game we've had lots of interest and excitement. Something I'm still struggling to get my head around.

So much so that I didn't actually want to go to Gamescom! We've never actually shown any European press the game though, and we felt bad about that.

PlayStation provided a room and I gave a hundred press a demo of the game for an hour, together with a really rambling presentation... where I apparently never looked up at the crowd once.

I can't really remember what I said, but I guess I wanted to share some stories from development, and I thought maybe you'd find them interesting, too.

We tell people...
