2w ago - Supermassive Games developer Pete Samuels unveiled Until Dawn for PS4 today at Gamescom 2014 alongside a PlayStation 4 video trailer below!

To quote: Hello from Supermassive Games, and - particularly - the Until Dawn team!

It's been a while since we talked about Until Dawn, but we're now thrilled to reveal the latest on the game... and it's now for PS4. So lock your doors, turn off the lights and let's explore some of the realistically gruesome details...

In Until Dawn you play the parts of all eight friends as they gather at a remote mountain getaway for a night of unexpected terror.

We wrote the story in collaboration with horror auteurs Larry Fessenden and Graham Reznick (Stake Land, Habit, The Last Winter) who've been bringing great independent horror movies to the big and small screen for decades.

That story challenges you to unravel the terrifying mysteries of Blackwood Pines. Look out for clues while we test your limits of fear but remember, things aren't always as they seem!

Whichever way you choose to play it's a rollercoaster of emotion and fear and, to support the authenticity of your characters, we've been lucky enough to work with an outstanding and talented...

Video: Sony Gamescom 2014 Teaser Trailer, Until Dawn PS4 Re-Reveal

3w ago - Today Sony Europe [Register or Login to view links] news of a [Register or Login to view links] teaser trailer video which appears to tease of an Until Dawn PS4 re-reveal with details below.

To quote: "Until Dawn became the poster child for Sony’s ill-fated PlayStation Move motion controller when it was first announced, which just goes to show how long the teen horror title has spent in hiding since being unveiled.

As suspected, a leaked GamesCom 2014 lineup last week confirmed the release for the PlayStation 4 - but Sony has yet to make an official comment on the error.

However, a new teaser trailer released by the platform holder has seemingly reiterated that the Supermassive Games developed exclusive will be on display in Cologne next week, as it shows a bloody snowflake falling to an icy floor. This is reminiscent of the introduction used when the game was originally revealed, and certainly matches its snowy setting.

Other announcements expected next week include next-gen iterations of Journey and The Unfinished Swan, as well as potential project debuts from Media Molecule and Guerrilla Games. We hope that you’ve recovered from E3 2014 earlier in the year, because this...

To quote: It's been an amazing E3. From the [Register or Login to view links] to the days that followed, we had a series of reveals that shed more light onto [Register or Login to view links].

We went into E3 with two demos that illustrated different aspects of the game: the battle in the streets of Whitechapel and the Lycan reveal in the London Hospital.

It was great to see players finally get their hands on the demo and accustom themselves with one of our signature weapons, the Thermite Rifle. We also debuted Blacksight, a gameplay mechanic based on the Knights' use of Blackwater, and saw many players make good use of it against the Rebels.

Now, with the show behind us, we are diving back into development. Thanks to everyone who came by our booth and...

Ready At Dawn Studios: The Order: 1886 on PS4 Heads to E3 2014

13w ago - Ready At Dawn Studios CEO and Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya announced today that The Order: 1886 on PS4 is heading to E3 2014!

To quote: 1886 is a time of strife in our alternate version of Victorian Era London. Life for the commoners may seem monotonous with people, both rich and poor, going about their daily business.

All the while, a threat to their very existence continues to lurk in the dark, a threat that the Knights of the Order have kept at bay for centuries.

In the days of King Arthur, mankind is on the losing side of a war for dominion and supremacy against the Half-Breeds. The King assembles a group of noble men to stand in defense of their brethren and thus, the Knights of the Round Table are born.

The Knights, now known only as The Order, endure through the centuries bringing the war to a status quo. With the Industrial Revolution, technology gives them the upper hand and a time of uncomfortable peace settles in the Kingdom and the Commonwealth, our version of Pax Britannia.

But this peace brings on a new opponent. The very people The Order had sworn to protect take up arms, as the Rebellion is formed in the streets of London. This new battle ravages the street of 1886 London, as both rebels and Knights fight each other to the death.

Ready At Dawn: Building a New London for The Order: 1886 on PS4

53w ago - Ready At Dawn Studios CEO and Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya announced today that they are building a new London for The Order: 1886 on PS4.

To quote: When creating our alternate history in The Order: 1886, our goal was to make the environment as believable as possible while at the same time adding our own twist to real places.

With the release of our trailer back at E3, we hinted at our vision of an alternate London.

This Neo-Victorian London will seem familiar to everyone, however, advances in technology will take center stage in many ways as you navigate the city. One of the main examples is the advent of electricity throughout the city, well before its time.

Gas lamps are replaced by electric street lights. Everywhere you go, you can hear the hum of electricity running through the city.

The London subway system is present in our version of the world, but it's much more advanced than it was in real life. Certain sections of the subway system run above ground in between buildings throughout the city. Electric signs line the streets making some areas of London almost look like Times Square.

The other big change you will witness is in the skyline of London. Although the familiar sights of Big Ben, St. Paul's, and the Tower Bridge are present,...
