Sony didn't unveil many details on the upcoming PlayStation Motion Controller at the Tokyo Game Show, however, Kaz Hirai did show off the updated design (pictured below) for the controller.
Additionally, Sony revealed that Biohazard 5: Alternative Edition will support the new Motion Controllers and is due out in Spring 2010.
Update: The official response from NOA, as expected, is "Nintendo does not respond to rumors and speculation."
Advance retail listings forwarded to Kotaku indicate that Nintendo is planning to issue its first price drop on the Wii, with a less expensive version of the console—currently priced at $249—coming the first week of October.
We've heard numerous PS3 price drop and PS3 backwards compatibility rumors several times over the last few months, but today SCRAWL is reporting the following (albeit unofficial) confirmation from their local Sony Rep, to quote:
"Over at my local GameStop (where I work), our Sony rep stopped in earlier today to update the PlayStation 3 kiosks and check in with us.
Today's PS3 Slim update is another unofficial 'confirmation', this time stating the PlayStation 3 Slim will open GamesCom next week.
VG247.com has also confirmed that Sony's press conference is set to last “just over an hour” and the extra time around it is “for people to sit down”, not the three hours as previously reported, and will begin around 7:00pm CET.
Today French site PS3Gen (linked above) have posted what reportedly is a leaked document which appears to confirm both a PS3 Slim model and PS3 price drop this September.
