First off, we have some very special and limited DLC available for purchase this month. Pogo and Trumpet, our resident Naughty Dogs, are now immortalized on custom t-shirts and weapons. All proceeds from the sales of these items will go to a charity that supports the prevention of cruelty to animals.
These items are currently available now in North America individually and as a bundle, and will go on sale later in the month in all other regions. These items are only available for the month of April, so grab them before they're gone.
We will be launching all our Animal themed character parts DLC globally this month. The full list of all the Animal theme parts on sale is outlined over on our UNCHARTED 3 Multiplayer Free-to-Play page.
We'll also have a bundle for all the animal themed parts that includes the exclusive T-Rex Head...
9w ago - Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli has announced today that Uncharted 3: Oddball PlayStation 3 DLC is out today.
Below are the details, to quote: The UNCHARTED 3 Multiplayer Free-to-Play launched a few weeks ago and we've seen a healthy uplift to our community, to the tune of over three hundred and fifty thousand downloads of the Free-to-Play client to date globally.
We're very excited to see our community grow, and we're stoked to keep expanding the world of UNCHARTED to as many people as possible.
To keep that momentum going, as promised, we're making new DLC available for purchase every month until June 2013. This month we're recognizing Extraterrestrial Abductions Day - or a day around it anyway - by unveiling our Oddball themed character parts for your UNCHARTED 3 Multiplayer characters.
Why Oddball? Well, these character parts defy classification as they don't quite fit among the numerous other parts we'll have coming out over the next few months, and Extraterrestrial Abductions Day is a bit of an odd holiday anyway. Here's a glimpse at some of the...
12w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill shared an interview with Naughty Dog today, who talks about their recent Uncharted 3 PS3 Multiplayer free-to-play decision.
To quote: Naughty Dog, purveyors of fine action-adventure games including the upcoming survival action game The Last of Us, made a bold move yesterday.
They decided to make the core multiplayer component of their most recent game, the globetrotting epic Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, free.
In a world of microtransactions and freemium stigmas, gamers naturally had questions about this decision. Why Free-to-Play? How will this affect the game's community?
We caught up with Uncharted 3 Game Director Justin Richmond, who gave us an inside look at the company's thought process behind giving away the core multiplayer mode of one of Naughty Dog's most popular games.
PlayStation.Blog: Why Free-to-Play? What opportunities does this model present that aren't there in the more traditional one?
"Free-To-Play takes away a huge barrier that exists for many players."

Below are the details, as follows: Last month I announced Uncharted: Fight for Fortune, an original PS Vita title building on the Uncharted universe, was going to launch exclusively on the PlayStation Store in December. I'm here now to let everyone know that you can download it today!
Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is an action-adventure turn based card game featuring all the heroes and villains that you have met throughout the Uncharted games, including Uncharted: Golden Abyss on PS Vita, which directly ties into your experience in Fight For Fortune.
The learning curve for card games can be steep, but rest assured we spent a considerable amount of time in the early design of Uncharted: Fight for Fortune to make sure it was going to be easy to learn, engaging and a whole lot of fun to play. You will be playing within minutes of booting up the game.
The first thing you will probably want to do once you launch Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is kick off the Fortune Hunter single player campaign. This campaign features more than eight hours of gameplay that will be spent playing against various characters from Uncharted, and the first couple games will teach you...
