98w ago - Today Naughty Dog Community Strategist Arne Meyer has announced that the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta hit 1 million+ players and shared news of a new co-op adventure and map arriving on July 10, 2011.

To quote: One day after the Beta went fully public, we passed one million unique players in the UNCHARTED 3 Multiplayer Beta.

Not only that, but the player count is growing with each passing day! We couldn't be prouder of our community coming out in such numbers to play in the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta.

Next week is the FINAL week in the Beta - we'll be shutting down the servers on Thursday, July 14th - so be sure to get your fill of UNCHARTED 3 before it goes away for a few months.

This will also be your last week to hit the requirements to receive the rewards we're offering that will be active for the retail version of UNCHARTED 3 -- rewards such as UNCHARTED 3 PSN Beta Tester Avatar, Treasure Hunter's Starter Pack, in-game cash on day one and more.

On Sunday, July 10th, we'll be updating the available gametypes and maps in the UNCHARTED 3 Multiplayer Beta according to the schedule...

98w ago - Update: Naughty Dog has quickly released an Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta 1.03 patch which now fixes an issue that prevented some SCEE (European) region players from finding a match.

Shortly following also came Patch 1.04 which also fixed an issue with the Facebook friends list where it would display duplicate and/or incorrect PSN IDs for some players and where some players would gain cash/XP during the playback of some Cinema files.

Today Naughty Dog announced that the Uncharted 3 PS3 Beta update 1.02 is now live, and they have detailed the official patch notes as follows:

Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta 1.02 patch was made available at 10:30 PM PDT for the North America PlayStation Store and will roll out across all the regions participating in the Beta over the next few hours.

The full patch notes to update 1.02 are listed below.

In addition, we have updated the available gametypes to bring back Plunder! As a result, Free for All has been removed from this week's available gametypes.

To quote: Welcome to the second week of the UNCHARTED 3 Multiplayer Beta!

We're exceptionally excited as today is the day the UNCHARTED 3 Multiplayer Beta becomes available to everyone on PSN! By the end of today, anyone and everyone with access to the PlayStation Store should be able to view and download the UNCHARTED 3 Multiplayer Beta - no codes required!

As we head into the second week of the UNCHARTED 3 Beta, we're updating the available gametypes to the following:

July 4 to July 9 Gametypes:

Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Team Objective, Hardcore, Co-op Hunter
Maps: Airstrip, Chateau

You'll notice Team Objective and Co-op Hunter as new additions for this week. I've been liking the Co-op Hunter gametype lately - the twist of adding in human players into what seems to be a Co-op mode is quite intriguing.

When can I start playing?
