A week ago,“An Evening With Kevin Smith 2″ through the Netflix streaming service on my Xbox 360 but didn’t finish. Now, I can’t watch the rest.

Joystiq broke word this evening that Netflix stopped Xbox 360 users from streaming movies distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment.

This restriction only applies to Xbox 360 users. PC, Mac and other Netflix-enabled on-demand devices can still stream Sony Pictures Entertainment films, and is not a glitch.

“In the case of Xbox 360, a few hundred titles are temporarily unavailable to be streamed via the Xbox game console,” Netflix VP of corporate communications Steve Swasey told MTV Multiplayer in an e-mailed statement tonight.

“Those titles are still available to be watched on subscribers’ computers and on TVs via other partner devices, and we hope they’ll be licensed for Xbox 3... More »

I don't know about anyone else, but I've been holding onto two copies of Persona 3 for quite some time now. The original came in this nice box with an art book, and then FES came out and I just couldn't bring myself to give up to original. So there you go.

Will the same thing happen? Atlus says no.

"We are today able to announce that at no point in the future will we announce the release of a "FES" version of Persona 4," said Tim Pivnicny, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "The very finest, most definitive version of Persona 4 will be the one released on December 9, 2008."

Now if only we could convince them to quit letting places like amazon release awesome pre-order junk, I will be extremely happy. I want my tele-teddy darn it!

Per Grace Chen (Senior Manager, PLAYSTATION Store) today:

Hi everyone, as Eric mentioned in his post yesterday, we wanted to give you a live demo of the PSP’s direct access to PlayStation Store, which will be coming with the 5.00 firmware update.

Now whenever your PSP is connected to the Internet over WiFi, you’ll be able to download and enjoy the latest games, demos and trailers on the go without needing to sync up to your PS3 or PC. Here’s a brief walk-through of what you’ll experience.

On a related note, the PS3 firmware update (2.50) will add Flash Player 9 support to the PS3 Web browser, so you’ll be able to actually watch this video (and all of our blog videos) on your PS3 once the firmware goes live!

In addition, I want to point out that the PlayStation Network is scheduled to be ... More »

Sam_Protagonist has confirmed on the official PS boards (linked above) that the online level creation mode in LittleBigPlanet will not be accessible at launch as originally planned.

According to his post, the functionality will be implemented through a post-launch patch due out at an unspecified date, however, users will still be able to create levels with friends offline and share them online.

To quote: This is correct. The ability to create with your friends online will come as part of the first major update after the game is released. Offline creating with up to 4 people on one PlayStation 3 however is available right from the get go.

Just to clarify what this means for the game, here's a few more FAQs -

Is online create in the game from launch?
No it's not, however it will be included in the first game update after launch. We're working on making this available as quickly as possible, but want to make sure it's right... More »

To begin this week's PS3 Dev briefing, we want to give a follow-up in regards to the PS3 Downgrade PUP's for PS3 TEST/Debug consoles we recently acquired.

Yes, it does work fine, and we have successfully downgraded a PS3 Test to version 1.00! Version 1.00 is quite neutered for a TEST, about the only thing that works is the ability to run code from a DVD/BD, aside from that just about everything is non-functional.

More to come in those regards, including our ability to install and dump Retail PKG's on a Debug PS3 console!

Now onto the rumors: As we all know, many have been trying (but failing terribly) to dump the EEPROM chip inside the PS3's controller.

Our very own talented Courier successfully removed and dumped the chip, a picture o... More »

With the Metal Gear Solid 4 80GB PlayStation 3 bundle in short supply, according to Sony, more shipments will become available to retailers soon.

“Due to overwhelming demand, the product is currently unavailable. The new estimated time of arrival date for when this will be available is the beginning of July,” a Sony Style representative said.

Sony has yet to release any information about stock, but promised that it is working for additional shipments.

“While we can’t provide specifics on inventory levels, the Metal Gear Solid 4 PlayStation 3 bundle is a limited-edition offering that’s experiencing high demand from Metal Gear and PlayStation enthusiasts,” the SCEA statement read.

“We’re pleased with the strong consumer interest in the bundle and are working to ensure that additional shipments are provided to retailers.”

Ask any zombie buff - the possibility of a world overrun by the living dead looms like a dark cloud over humanity. Are you ready? Will you know what to do when well-meaning scientists unleash a brain-rotting plague or when a curse causes long deceased loved ones to claw their way out of earthen pits?

Of course not - contending with the constant demands of today's society doesn't leave most of us with time to think about things like whether a raid on an abandoned grocery store is best done alone, with a group, at night... or not at all. So here are a few study aides to help you defend yourself against a necrotizing neighbor in the ensuing chaos.

First on our list is Left 4 Dead, a multi-player co-op zombie shooter that forces you to rely on your fellow survivors to make it through a campaign. Left 4 Dead differs from other zombie games in its dynamic enemy dispersal, meaning when the dead rise - there will be no way to predict where they will lurk. Unfortunatey... More »
