The mysterious “PS3mote”, the Wii-mote-like PS3 controller that has been talked about numerous times over the past 2 years the PS3 has been released. Every gamer knows the power of a controller like this. The Nintendo Wii is the best selling console this generation, and let’s face it... It’s because of the controller.
A controller that is so user friendly, that even grandma, and grandpa can pick it up, not be intimidated, and have a blast. That’s the appeal, everyone has used a remote for their TV, their VCR, their DVD player. The remote is an icon in American (and I am sure many other) culture.

Former gymnast Alison Carroll is the new face of Lara Croft in Tomb Raider these days. Recently, she visited the MTV Newsroom to show off just how flexible she really is.
The video is dubbed 'Stapler Raider' and the caption reads: Find out how to retrieve borrowed office supplies, Croft-style.
This is also a test of the MTV video embed code on our portal, hopefully it works! :p
A Sony-owned online video entertainment site is expected to unveil its latest season of Internet programs on Monday, as the media giant moves to beef up its online entertainment content.
Crackle.com, which Sony bought in 2006 when it was known as Grouper, will showcase shows that include sketch comedy by "The Groundlings" and Anytime with Bob Kushell, a 5-minute talk show hosted by a Hollywood writer, Reuters reported Sunday.
Crackle has adopted the television practice of rolling out new programming in seasons instead of rolling out episodes when they are completed. Crackle's season begins December 1, according to the report.
The six new shows, which will often be no longer than 5 minutes long, will apply the same production techniques used in TV and films, Reuters reported.
"Just because it has higher production values doesn't mean we're trying to mirror movies and TV," Eric Berger, a Sony executive in charge of Cra... More »
A PSP clone known as the 2PG console comes with cartridges that allows you to play retro NES games. Moreover, the system has an A/V out and is supplied with a PlayStation clone controller in order to play the games on TV.
To quote: Sure, this portable gaming system might LOOK just a little bit like the Sony PSP, but don’t expect it to play any games made in the last 15 years.
Another in a long line of cheap Chinese knock-off systems, the 2PG TC8281 handheld plays a mish-mash of questionable 8-bit and 16-bit retro games that come only on special multi-game cartridges.
The 2PG console comes with five built-in games, as well as an additional “112 in 1″ game cartridge, for a total of 117 games for under $50. Hundreds of additional games can be played if you know where to look for the proper cartridges. The system also has an AV out and comes with a cheezy-looking Playstation clone controller so you can play games on your TV.

MTV has pieced together some of Barack Obama's thoughts on video games in order to understand what his presidency will mean for the gaming industry.
Previously he has called on the industry to give parents better information, and producers themselves to make descriptions available of exactly what content is included.
To quote: Obama’s answer: “A: We need to give parents the tools and information they need to make choices about what programs their children are watching or what video games they are playing. As we move towards a digital environment, there is a golden opportunity for the industry to do this on their own—to use the latest in technology to give parents more information and more choice.
For example, this technology could make it possible for parents to create their own family tier just by programming their television to block certain channels, block certain genres of programming like dramas, or block television at certain... More »

This time it contains footage of the Pigtails Girl for about a second. Unfortunately it isn't anything new.
The commercial also contains Little Big Planet and Resident Evil 5. The original stream is available on the Japanese PlayStation Web site. It's uploaded it to YouTube courtesy of Kitmitsu to make things easier.
Microsoft has revealed to MTV that the XBox Live Arcade auto-downloading feature include in the current dashboard will be disabled for the New XBox Experience launch. However, Microsoft did say that it may come back in a future release.
To quote: November’s New Xbox Experience mandatory firmware upgrade may add many handy options to the Xbox 360 console, but contrary to early reports from E3, it doesn’t quite retain all the functionality of the original 360 dashboard.
While messing around with the New Xbox Experience on my home 360 last week, I had trouble finding my second favorite feature from the old dashboard: Xbox Live Arcade auto-downloading.
That feature allowed me to set my 360 to download demos of every new XBLA game any time I entered my XBLA games library and there was new content available. I was a big fan of the feature, because it enabled new games to come to me rather than me having to know about them and seek them out. Auto-dow... More »
