To quote: Here's a final thank you for supporting PlayStation Plus before we start another year.

From today, you will see the first of many brand new minis coming to Plus. A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks is the first of a whole load of new minis that are coming to Plus in the coming year.

During the year, at least one of the two minis each month will be brand new to PSN and two weeks early for you guys. So you are the first to play them!

A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks is an extra game for you this month though and is launching in Plus later today, at the same time as the rest of the Store. Enjoy!

Next on the list is the NEO GEO classic, brand new to PSN, Samurai Shodown. And you guys are getting it at a 100% discount from day one. This will also stay in the Plus section of the store until the 2nd of February so that any new Plus members in January can get it too.

I've been reading that you like day one discounts so here's another one for you. When the great new PSN title 'Eat Them' launches today, Plus members will get an exclusive 20% discount.

And last but not least for your December...

Sony Unveils Round Two of PlayStation Plus Treats for December

250°
206w ago - As a follow-up to their last update, today PlayStation Network Product Manager James Thorpe has detailed the second round of treats for PlayStation Plus subscribers this December.

To quote: Hi again, its already time for the next treats to be added to Plus for you! Today we will be adding a couple of little extras that we hope you will enjoy.

You may have heard about a game called DC Universe Online? Well we have worked hard to make sure that you guys get exclusive access to the Beta of this huge MMO Action title. All Plus members will be included and the download is being added to the Plus section of PlayStation Store as we speak - yes, that's right now.

Due to the scale of the game, this Beta Trial will require approximately 15GB of free Hard Disk Drive (HDD) space, and can take an average of 3-4 hours to download, or potentially longer depending on your broadband internet connection. It will definitely be worth it though!

We are also giving you guys a great PSP game Add-on for free. Little Big Planet PSP Turbo! Pack, will be yours to download and keep forever today. This pack contains loads of extras for LBP PSP.

And finally, try the game Prototype...

200°
206w ago - Sony PlayStation Network Product Manager James Thorpe has unveiled the treats for PlayStation Plus subscribers this week, which include Dead Nation and Hustle Kings avatars and access to the LBP2 PS3 Open Beta.

To quote: Hi Guys, it's already time to give you the first installment of your festive December treats. So here goes...

You may have seen Alex's post last month about LittleBigPlanet 2 and the amazing new game coming to PSN on 15 December: Sack Boy's Prehistoric Moves.

We thought you guys might like this so we are giving it to you completely free and one week before everyone else on PSN. New, free and early!

The second treat today is also LBP2 related. We were gutted we couldn't give you the first LBP2 beta exclusively but to hopefully make up for it a little, we have managed to persuade the guys to extend the LBP2 beta for you Plus members.

The numbers are unfortunately limited but if you have been chosen then you should have already received an email and are hopefully playing, creating and sharing as we speak.

Another treat for this month is something you have been asking for: There are two Dead Nation Avatars now available for download. Check out your exclusive 'Hero' and 'Heroine' avatars today.

And finally,...

Tis the month to be trick or treated, and Lockwood's getting a head start this week releasing a range of new Halloween items. Those looking for their Halloween costume should drop into the Lockwood store and check out the two variations of skeleton suit.

Choose from the Eerie Bones suit or the Glow Bones suit, depending on your taste. Also available from Lockwood this week is the perfect item to cook up something special: The Cauldron of the Sunless Kingdom. Mix ingredients to create special effects, and with the right mix the Cauldron may reward you.

For the Street Fighter 4 fans who have been waiting patiently for the alternate costumes, we have good news today. The alternate costumes will release tomorrow, completing the collection of Street Fighter 4 content for Europe. (Note: Abel alternate will not be released for technical reasons.)

Looking for something a bit different? Alter Ego will be taking delivery of a new range of costumes and outfits. Those who yearn for the 8-bit halcyon days of gaming should check out the new 8-bit costumes (2 male, 1 female). Also available are the Pencil Sketch body suits for both...
