44w ago - Recently PlayStation Vita developer Total_Noob has announced news of TN-V for PS Vita, which will bring forth both XMB and PSN access for users.
6.60 TN-V is a Custom Emulator Firmware (CEF) for the PS Vita. It offers the XMB design and the most important feature: the ability to access the PSN - the SOLUTION for 2.02 UNO owners.
It is still work in progress. There is no release date. There are quite some bugs and I have only little time to work on that.
Below are the full details and video via wololo, to quote: Total_Noob has officially announced his new project: 6.60 TN-V for the PlayStation Vita.
6.60 TN-V is a Custom Emulator Firmware (CEF) for the PSVita 2.02 UNO exploit. Total_Noob's TN-V will be different from his last release (TN-C) as it will include a fully functioning XMB something we saw only briefly in pictures awhile back, however now Total_Noob has a video to show it in action.
TN-V will support PSN access, so you’ll be able to connect to the PlayStation Network to download PSP games and access content, something that has been not possible after the mandatory 2.05 update and blocking of the Charles & Fiddler proxies. You’ll only be able to connect to the PSP's store since TN-V uses part of the PSP 6.60 firmware (to connect),...
56w ago - Following up on the PlayStation Vita TN-B Urbanix and Mad Blocker Alpha and Gravity Crash releases, this weekend Total_Noob has released TN-C eCFW for PS Vita handheld console owners with details below.
To quote: Developer Total_Noob has released TN-C eCFW with a huge list of improvements including compatibility for the Motorstorm and Super Collapse exploits. TN-C has also now become open source. Keep reading!
The long awaited and highly anticipated update to TNmenu by developer Total_Noob for all exploits is finally here, bringing a substantial update to just about everything. With TN-C Total_Noob has added compatibility for those still holding out on the Motorstorm and Super Collapse 3 exploits; something he was testing a while back.
TN has also made this release open source which means other developers will be able to build and add new features to TN-C. With this release Total_Noob also released a statement that this will be most likely his last release. It’s very sad news; we can only say thanks and best wishes in your future endeavors.
57w ago - Following up on their previous announcement, today wololo has revealed that Total_Noob's CEF TN-B (port by Teck4 and Frostegater) is now available which makes use of the PS Vita Gravity Crash exploit for Firmware 1.81.
From his blog: Despite conspiracy theorists who would love to see us not deliver, here’s, as promised, Teck4′s port of Total_Noob’s eCFW to a new game exploit for the game Gravity Crash Portable.
As “expected”, the game Gravity Crash Portable was removed from all Sony PSN locales yesterday, following our announce 3 days ago of a vulnerability being discovered in that game, that would allow a malicious attacker to run Super Mario Bros on your Vita.
Hopefully, people who missed the Monster Hunter AND Urbanix AND Mad blocker alpha exploits had enough luck this time to catch this 4th game in time before it got pulled.
Teck4 ported TN’s CEF to the Gravity Crash game in JP, while Frostegater adapted this work to the EU and US versions....
From wololo's blog: Total_Noob just released an update to his eCFW for the Vita, CEF 6.60 TN Hen. The game makes compatibility with previous exploits easier to achieve, brings some bug fixes, but more importantly, brings compatibility with the game Mad blocker Alpha.
We organized a Ninja Release for the game, and hopefully many people were able to buy it in time, but sadly, the name of the game was leaked by a handful of people, and got pulled from the Sony PSN (this is at least confirmed for Europe, people in the US might have better luck) before we could do this public announcement.
15,000 members of our forums were part of the Ninja release, and in all honesty I wouldn’t expect all of them to keep their mouth shut, but it is sad to see that some major scene websites contributed to the leak, in the form of “rumor” articles and falsely...
