TN-V10 for PS Vita by Total Noob Arrives with Some Big Improvements

3w ago - Following up on the recent VHBL PS Vita 3.18 news and his previous release, today PlayStation Vita hacker Total Noob released 6.60 TN-V10 for PS Vita owners which features some big improvements as outlined below.

Those interested can either download the newest revision directly on your PS Vita via the 'System Update' option on the XMB in TN-V or grab the files in this post.

Total Noob's TN-v9 and TN-v9.5 eCFW for PlayStation Vita Arrives

13w ago - Following up on his previous updates, today PlayStation Vita developer Total Noob released TN-V9 followed by v9.5 eCFW for the PS Vita handheld console with details below.

To quote: We told you that it was coming, and now it is here! TN-V9 has been released.

A reminder, TN-V is an eCFW option for PS Vita users who would like to be able to run homebrews and PSP ISO/CSO on their PS Vita. TN-V is currently supported on firmwares 3.01 and below. Other eCFW options, such as ARK are out there, but ARK is not supported on firmwares above 2.02 (as of yet ). To be able to run TN-V, you need to have one of the many exploited PSP exploit games listed below.

This new version of Total-Noob's eCFW adds, fixes, and removes a few features to the PS Vita PSP emulation arsenal. Let's check them out:

TN-V4 for PS Vita 3.01 (and Below) by Total_Noob is Now Available

39w ago - Following up on the PS Vita Firmware 3.01 update and the PS Vita FW 3.01 TNV4 Exploit Games announcement, today Sony PlayStation Vita hacker Total_Noob returns with TN-V4 followed by TN-V6, TN-V7 and TN-V7.1 for PS Vita v3.01 followed by v5 and v6 with details below.

From wololo, to quote: The long wait is over! Almost one year after his latest release, Total_Noob is back with an eCFW for the PS Vita.

Total_Noob’s TN-V4 lets you run a variety of PSP Homebrews, plugins, and emulators on your PS Vita. It is compatible up to firmware 3.01 included (the latest PS Vita firmware at the time of this writing), and requires you to own one of the exploitable games that was revealed recently in our Ninja release.

Video: Total Recoil Sets Its Sights on PlayStation Vita Consoles

64w ago - Eiconic Games Art and Creative Director Simon Credland shared a video today announcing that Total Recoil is setting its sights on PlayStation Vita consoles.

It all started when I was "busy" (with my feet up) playing Call of Duty on PS3, thinking to myself "These shoot-em-ups have come a long way since the old arcade games." So this started me wondering how a modern game would look on an arcade cabinet.

It would be top-down, the characters would have large heads, there would be wave after wave of baddies with flamethrowers, huge tanks and attack copters - and this is what you get with Total Recoil.

But developing on the PS Vita is better than an arcade machine and gives us more control than mobile and tablet games - we've made use of all the PS Vita's controls. You use the left stick to move, the right stick to shoot and strafe. When you fire a missile you can trace its path...
 

Pick Up Total Recall on Blu-ray, Get God of War: Ascension Demo

101w ago - Sony Product Marketing Manager Anthony Caiazzo has announced today that those who pick up Total Recall on Blu-ray will also get a God of War: Ascension single-player demo!

Below are the details, to quote: Hello God of War fans! Sony Santa Monica is very excited to be teaming up with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to get you some exclusive hands-on time with God of War: Ascension on December 18th.

For a limited time, when you purchase the Director's Cut Total Recall Blu-ray and Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack you will receive the E3 2012 God of War: Ascension [Register or Login to view links].

Both Blu-rays feature the Extended Directors Cut, which includes 20 minutes of new footage not shown in theaters, including an alternate ending and over 1.5 hours of special features and Blu-ray exclusive content.
