29w ago - Co-creator and executive producer Matthew Senreich has posted up a Robot Chicken PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale video tonight!

To quote: We are all gamers. It's that simple. A crossover appeared.

When PlayStation asked us at Robot Chicken to literally "play" with their all-star line-up of characters, we were not about to say no. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale gave us an opportunity in the writers' room to have the geek discussions we all love to have.

Who would destroy who in a fight to the death, or wherever they end up going after being defeated. To make this animated short, we got one of our Head Writers Douglas Goldstein and our super gamer writers Mike Fasolo and Rachel Bloom (check out her geek videos on YouTube) to create this fun off-hours scenario for all our favorite PlayStation characters.

Then we got our super geek director/writer Zeb Wells (who y'all may know from his comic book writing history) to dive in and direct. Magic in a bottle.

143w ago - Today Community Manager Yaw at NBA Electronic Arts Canada has revealed alongside a video trailer that the NBA Elite 11 PS3 demo will be available tonight on PSN.

To quote: We have a whole new game this year with more to offer than ever before.

It's finally demo time, and with all the changes we've made to the game we wanted to make sure that you got a chance to scope it all out by downloading it on PSN. Here is a sneak peek into what you can expect in this year's demo.

One of the key changes we made this year was introducing all-new Hands-On Control. This puts the control of the player in your hands, and gets rid of the dice-roll shooting, canned animations, and loss of control you've experienced in past NBA Basketball video games.

Like putting in time at the gym, there's a learning curve with Hands-On Control. But once you feel the difference, you'll know why we changed everything.





To compare Hands-On Control to the old button configuration, you can switch back in your Lakers-Celtics game in the demo through Pause-> Menu -> Setting -> Control Setting. We really encourage you to put in the time in Practice Mode with the Hands-On Control and feel the difference versus our old controls.

145w ago - Today Capcom's Product Marketing Manager Mike Schmitt has announced that a Dead Rising 2 PS3 free community event is being held tonight in L.A. for those interested.

To quote: We're super excited about the upcoming 9/28 launch date of Dead Rising 2. We're also excited because Dead Rising 2 marks the debut of the series on the PS3!

The game looks and plays fantastic on the PS3 and we've been showing it off the last few months at all the major trade and consumer events (Captivate, E3, Comic Con and PAX).

Tomorrow Tonight we're hosting an awesome community event in Los Angeles where Dead Rising fans can attend (for free!) and get their hands on the game. In addition to being able to play Dead Rising 2 prior to release we'll have prizes, food, music, contests and more.

156w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has revealed that tonight on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Guerrilla Games' Hermen Hulst will be demoing Killzone 3 in 3D on the PS3 entertainment system!

To quote: Got someplace to be early tomorrow morning? Well blow it off! You'll wanna stay up late tonight to see Killzone 3 in action.

Video Game Week continues on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, as Guerrilla Games' Hermen Hulst will be demoing KZ3 in gorgeous 3D.

Jimmy stunk it up a little bit last night in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit; hopefully he'll have better luck dishing out brutal melee attacks on the Helghast.

If he does well, we can all forgive him for his role in the cinematic catastrophe known as 2004's Taxi. Queen Latifah, you're still on the hook.
