5w ago - Project Coordinator Takeshi Yamanaka announced today that Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R arrives on PS Vita tomorrow!
Below are the details, to quote: It was love at first sight. This is my story of how the PS Vita version of Guilty Gear game to life, and why I thought PS Vita and Guilty Gear were a match made in heaven.
When I first opened the the dev unit for the PS Vita, I was seduced by the screen's beauty: high resolution, saturated colors, and the quick response time all contributed to my next thought: "I'm sure 2D fighting games would look beautiful on this baby."
That was when it all began. At the time I was the coordinator and director of BlazBlue, if only by title, so I wasn't directly involved in the development of the PS Vita version; nevertheless, I heard stories from our dev teams and needless to say, they, too were impressed with Vita's performance.
The idea of bringing Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus to the Vita was tossed around during meetings and in the office, but the general consensus of our top brass was that it wouldn't have much of an impact, and the idea was shelved.
I think it was in Spring of 2012, a little while after Guilty Gear on the Vita was shelved. Our Arcade release of the game underwent major balance changes, (+R) at which...
6w ago - Muteki Corporation Founder, President and CEO Bryan Sawler has announced today via Sony's Blog that Dragon Fantasy Book I will be hitting PS3 and PS Vita tomorrow.
To quote: In August, we announced on PlayStation Blog that we would be releasing Dragon Fantasy Book II for PS Vita and PS3 early next year.
With the awesome response and large demand for the first game on those systems, we knew we had to make it happen. We didn't want to just push a port of what we already had, though - this was our chance to really make this game shine.
Plus, we get to take part in Sony's awesome Spring Fever promotion! Not only are we releasing the game to JRPG-loving fans out there, Sony is helping to ensure people actually find out about it! What does that mean to you? If you're a PlayStation Plus member, it means you get 20% off the game during launch week!
Don't know much about Dragon Fantasy Book I? Start by watching our brief trailer.
So where to begin... Oh, I don't know, how about redrawing almost every single piece of art in the game! Crazy? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely!
We decided to approach this in the style of a SNES special edition of a previously released NES game. We wanted to take the art we had, and...
10w ago - Localization Editor and QA Tester Adam Fitch has announced today that Carnage Heart EXA will be hitting both PSP and PlayStation Vita tomorrow alongside a video trailer below.
To quote: Natsume may be best known for publishing the Harvest Moon and Reel Fishing series, but we're always on the lookout for novel and innovative titles for our growing audience.
We plan for 2013 to be a banner year for unique titles, and Carnage Heart EXA, out tomorrow for $29.99, is the first of several PSP titles we'll be bringing to our fans in both North America and Europe.
PlayStation Network lets us bring titles to gamers who are increasingly looking for unique and different types of games. Carnage Heart EXA is just such a game!
Carnage Heart first appeared on PlayStation way back in 1997. Carnage Heart EXA continues the tradition of the franchise with the same style of gameplay, but builds upon it with improved graphics, updated chips, and interface mechanics, and a larger stable of Overkill Engine types.
In addition, this time around players can actually control the OKEs (Overkill Engines)! It's a polished version of the original dream Artdink had, and we're pleased to be working closely with them to bring the game to a worldwide audience....
10w ago - Today Laurent Mercure at Frima Studio has announced alongside a video trailer that Holy Guns! Nun Attack is coming to PS Vita tomorrow.
Below are the details, as follows: We're proud to be bringing the beloved gun-wielding nuns from our hit mobile game Nun Attack to PlayStation Vita. Eons have passed since the power-thirsty Fallen Nun took over the mortal world, spawning evil across the land.
In a world where evil is taking over and prayers are no longer answered, there is only one type of divine intervention left, and it's armed to the teeth!
In this epic tactical action game, intuitive touch-screen controls direct your holy squad through fast-paced combat while they unleash a fury of biblical proportions. Lead Eva the leader, Rosy the slayer, Olga the tank and Mandy the healer to defeat the Fallen Nun and restore balance to the world.
Nun Attack for PS Vita is not a simple port; we've adapted the game to provide a great experience on the handheld. We've upgraded the graphics a notch, and entirely redesigned the difficulty of the levels since we've removed all of the micro-transaction mechanics.
13w ago - Atlus Editor Nich Maragos has announced that Persona 2: Eternal Punishment hits PSN tomorrow.
Below are the details, to quote: If you're a die-hard Persona fan, there's a good chance you have every game in the series- Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Persona 3 Portable, and the recent Persona 4 Golden- playable on PS Vita... except one. Persona 2 was split into two games - Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment - the former of which came out on PSP in 2011 and the latter having had no American release.
There's good news and bad news about that. The bad news is that unusual circumstances have prevented us from localizing Eternal Punishment PSP the way we'd have liked to, but the good news is that you can still find out how the story of Tatsuya...
