Tomb Raider Underworld PS3 Trophies Coming on May 28, 2009

287w ago - Eidos has announced on their [Register or Login to view links] that an update is coming to Tomb Raider Underworld for the PlayStation 3.

Next Thursday, May 28, the game will be patched to add support for PS3 Trophies.

To quote: "Sorry for the delay and thank you very much to those who were able to wait patiently," said the Eidos rep.

"It's really appreciated and I hope you get some great Raiding out of it."

Tomb Raider Underworld just barely missed the January deadline for mandatory Trophies. Even six months after the release, it's better late than never.

Maybe this will inspire some Trophy hunters to raid some tombs.

Tomb Raider Underworld DLC Dated: February & March 10, 2009

304w ago - Remember that retail listing for the Tomb Raider Underworld "Expansion Token Pack" with a January 21st ship date?

Well, you can divert your attention until February 10 when "Beneath the Ashes" - the first of two Xbox 360-exclusive DLC episodes - brings six new costumes, 125 additional achievement points, and some "never-before-seen caverns and age old crypts" to Lara's latest.

The second episode - "Lara's Shadow" - follows on March 10 and, we presume, will feature another 125 achievement points.

The press release curiously avoids any mention of price but - seeing as how the email in our inbox reminded us that "the codes to download this content will be available at GameStop" - we're going to assume that despite managing to botch the date, GameStop's got the $10 per episode asking price right. We've asked an Eidos rep just in case.

Video: Tomb Raider: Underworld - Thailand Final Room Glitch

100°
312w ago - A glitch in the Nintendo Wii version of Tomb Raider: Underworld near enough prevents players from actually completing the game.

The glitch can be found near the end of the Coastal Thailand level. Luckily, Eidos is aware of this and has some solutions to the game completion preventing glitch as detailed on EidosGames.com.

Below is a video of it courtesy of campstuff92 via YouTube. The video's caption reads:

This is how you do the final room in the Thailand level of Tomb Raider Underworld for Wii.

I posted this video because a lot of people seem to have a glitch where the lever that opens the underwater door is not there, and a guide to where the lever would be.

New Tomb Raider: Underworld Sales Lead on PlayStation 3

50°
312w ago - Sales of Eidos' Tomb Raider: Underworld are strongest on the PlayStation 3, with 51 per cent of all units sold in its first week of release on Sony's home console.

The Xbox 360 accounted for 34 per cent of sales, with the remaining sales made up of Wii, PC and DS SKUs.

Earlier this year, Eidos announced that only the Xbox 360 version of the game will benefit from two exclusive digital episodes, amounting to around six extra hours of play.

Tomb Raider: Underworld only beat the first week performance of last year's Tomb Raider: Anniversary by 6,700 units.
