194w ago - As part of new PS3 DLC announced at PAX 2009, Titan Studios have revealed that a map entitled "New Pork" will be heading to Fat Princess.
To quote from their blog (linked above): "Due to the tremendous success of Fat Princess on PSN, we are pleased to announce a host of new content for you, our loyal fans. Today at PAX we spilled the beans on New Pork, an awesome new city-themed level.
New Pork offers an exciting array of strategies to slice and dice your way to victory. Use multiple sewer shortcuts to sneak up behind your enemies, blow up barricades to open up new routes of assault and defend your princess from the rooftops.
New Pork is just the beginning of additional content for Fat Princess. For details on New Pork and news of the coming update, as well as PAX video interviews with the Titan Devs, stay tuned to the Titan Blog."
197w ago - Less than a week after the previous Fat Princess patch was issued to fix multiplayer connections comes news of more fixes in the works, as follows from Titan Studios:
I am happy to report that we have found the issue related to trophies, stats and scoreboards. Not only did we find it, but we think we have it fixed.
This is thanks to detailed bug information provided by many players - but especially Boko577. Boko, by the way, is ranked number one in Warrior Gladiate. Fear him. No word on timing of a fix, but we've got it, we'll test it, and roll it into a future update.
Speaking of Scoreboards
As all but 1,000 of you are no doubt aware, the scoreboards are currently limited to the top 1,000 players. We are working with Sony to have this cap removed, so all players can see their score. Just to give fair warning, this will happen with a future update and when it does, all scores will be reset to zero.
This will allow all players to be on the boards and in the race. BEFORE ANYONE FREAKS OUT: We are working on a way of doing this that will allow you to retain your unlocked Get Fabulous options. K, NOW FREAK OUT.
199w ago - Yesterday Sony acknowledged that a Fat Princess patch fix for the online issues many gamers have been experiencing was in the works.
Today Titan Studios have detailed the update on their blog, to quote:
We've received a flood of emails in the last 36 hours. We're humbled by the incredible outpouring of appreciation and support from the community, and by the number of fans who have invested staggering amounts of time and effort in writing thoughtfully about their experiences and offering suggestions. Many of you are also actively contributing to forums all over the Web.
Ninety-five out of a hundred emails are from gamers loving the game, even though some of them are experiencing varying degrees of networking problems and other bugs. Some of you have have serious troubles and are rightfully frustrated. We're frustrated too, and we're on it. Regardless, we thank you all. Titan loves you back.
Patch in Testing
We have implemented fixes that should substantially improve critical connection and lag issues. A patch has now entered testing. No ETA yet. When we have information to share, you'll get it.
