Below are the changes from his blog, as follows: Here is a small update for They Do Not Die 2 along with its first Windows release.
I've added blood and corpses. On Wii and PS3 they quickly shrink until they disappear but on Windows they fade instead of shrink (which I think looks a lot better) and there can be more of them in the game world at a time which means that they disappear more slowly.
I've also made a handful of minor and most likely unnoticeable changes (mostly related to city generation).
84w ago - Sony Product Marketing Manager Chuck Lacson has made available a video today spotlighting the top ways to kill (or die) in Starhawk alongside a full PS3 Trophy List and tips below!
To quote: 5 more days till Starhawk drops in-stores!
As you can imagine we are pretty excited in the office that everyone will get to finally experience the GLORY that we call the POD KILL. "What's a POD KILL?" you ask? Well let me demonstrate..
The POD KILL, is one of many inventive ways to take out your enemy in Starhawk. Even if you have been playing shooters for years, you'll be surprised at how many new ways you can be take out your enemy (and get completed served as well). And the fun is when you find a new way to kill, you can name it!
Whether you call it THE HEADS UP, THE MANCAKE, or THE PROPERTY DAMAGE, you haven't lived until you have dropped a building on someone's head.
(We also like to call that getting "Dorothy'd") With that in mind, it's time to plan your path to PLATINUM with the full, official PSN Trophies list, and some tips to get them.
88w ago - SCEA PR Manager Eric Levine has shared a new Ride, Die, and Fly Starhawk vehicle trailer for PlayStation 3 fans today!
To quote: With just over a month until our May 8th release, the time to fully experience the virtual glory that is Starhawk is rapidly approaching.
We figured what better way to raise the excitement level than to give you a first-hand look at some of the different vehicle options you'll have at your disposal when this innovative third-person shooter hits stores next month.
We've said from the very beginning that Starhawk will have a broad range of intense air, ground, and vehicular combat so I think our new Ride, Die, and Fly trailer will certainly drive that point home.
First up is the Sidewinder JetBike - basically a quick-strike hoverbike that's very fast, perfect for crazy jumps and a lot of fun to drive.
Next, the Razorback, which is similar to a buggy vehicle, a sturdy 4x4 that carries up to three players and comes with a mounted gun on the back, perfect for picking off Outcast scum in a hurry.
The Ox Heavy Tank is one of my favorites. The name basically says it all, right? It's a burly vehicle that's great for bombarding bases. It's...
To quote: Here is another update to They Do Not Die 2.
I had added corpses and blood but I’ve removed them because I don’t know how to make them fade away progressively and I find it extremely distracting seeing them just disappear instantly (for performance reasons there needs to be a limit on how many can exist at any given time).
If anyone knows how to go about doing that I would greatly appreciate an example of it. Basically what I’m looking for is the PSL1GHT equivalent of glColor4f. I assume the answer involves shaders which I am sadly fairly ignorant about making and using.
Added two player co-op play (shared screen).
There are now cars and boxes scattered around the city.
Data is stored more efficiently in game saves and as a result of that saving and loading is faster.
