163w ago - LucasArts Producer Brett Rector has confirmed that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II hits PS3 Tuesday and detailed some of the video game's enhancements today.
To quote: One of the most exciting days for a video-game developer is release day, and for those of us who worked on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, October 26th, 2010 is our day.
It's one we've been building up to since the release of the original Star Wars: The Force Unleashed back in 2008. Starkiller has returned as the game's protagonist, and he's more bad-ass than ever.
But is he really Starkiller? If you played the first game then you know he sacrificed himself to save key members of the Rebellion he helped start. So how is it possible that Starkiller is alive?
Not one to stay idle, Darth Vader has been doing some tinkering in a secret laboratory on Kamino, the cloning planet from Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones. I think you can see where I'm going with this.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is all about a personal journey, one where you attempt to unravel the mystery behind whether Starkiller's a clone or not. The first game was all about redemption; the second is about identity and searching for the truth....
183w ago - Today some fresh Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 gameplay footage is available as part of the E3 2010 trailer.
Slated for release on PS3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS on October 26, 2010, the sequel will refine gameplay elements from the first Force Unleashed, and add more variance with such features as puzzle solving and, at one point, piloting a TIE fighter.
Combat will be modified to include the ability to wield dual lightsabers and more Force powers such as "mind trick" and "Force fury".
New combos and enemies have been added as well.

209w ago - A debut trailer video for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 was revealed during the 2009 VGAs last night.
Showing only CG footage, you'll play as the Apprentice once again, but this time he doesn't seem to be siding with the Sith or any specific side of the Force.
Yoda and Darth Vader are heard talking to him throughout the trailer telling him about loss and death.
If these will play major roles in the game isn't known right now, but it could be a major plot development point for the game, much like Anakin Skywalker's decent into darkness out of fear of losing his loved ones.
The trailer shows him doing battle in what appears to be an arena and then ends.
222w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has announced Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition along with support for PS3 Trophies.
To quote: I know the original Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has been out for about a year now, but with the recent addition of PSN Trophies to the title and a new version of the game hitting soon (Ultimate Sith Edition), I figured there'd be plenty of you giving the game a first (or second) look.
Also, LucasArts' Presidio campus is pretty much the coolest workplace location on the planet, so we had no problem coming back :-)
So after Chris was done taking a look at Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron for PSP, Assistant Production Manager Cameron Suey popped the updated Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition into the PS3.
This version packs a couple of interesting "What if?" levels onto the original game, as well as some new trophies to boot (eagle eyes will catch our demo dude unlocking one late in the video).
