19w ago - Aksys Games Editor Ben Bateman shared a video today announcing that Sweet Fuse: At Your Side lights up PSP and PS Vita platforms on August 27th, 2013.
To quote: Sweet Fuse: At Your Side (hereafter referred to as "Sweet Fuse," "The Product," or "Oh Captain My Captain") is an otome game, developed by Idea Factory and Otomate, and published by Aksys Games.
Coming to PSP and PS Vita (via PSN) on August 27th (and to retail soon after that), it follows the escapades of Saki Infaune, irascible fictional niece of legendary game developer Keiji Inafune as she navigates a deadly theme park and searches for that most elusive of emotions: Love.
What is Love?
Apart from, presumably, not hurting me anymore, that's a question history's great thinkers and poets have been asking for ages. Some say it's an illusion-Plato seems to think it has something to do with the pursuit of knowledge and perfect, unknowable, divine objects.
Scientists might tell you it's a biological and chemical imperative that drives us to procreate and thereby propagate our species. I certainly can't claim any special knowledge as to the answer, but I can tell you that Sweet Fuse is dedicated to the examination of it. But not exclusively!
70w ago - SuperBot Entertainment Lead Combat Designer Paul Edwards has posted up a PlayStation All-Stars: Sweet Tooth Strategy video for fans today.
Below are the details, to quote: It's Paul Edwards, Lead Combat Designer at SuperBot. I'm here to shed some light on Sweet Tooth's character design, as we continue our PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale character series.
Sweet Tooth has always been closely associated with vehicular combat, rather than hand-to-hand fighting, so when shaping his playstyle we had to rely on his distinct personality and image.
Fortunately, we had direct input from the talented Twisted Metal team (including the man himself, Twisted Metal creator/game director David Jaffe), and we were able to get a great deal of constructive feedback from them through rigorous playtesting.
We also had early access to the newest iteration of Twisted Metal when it was being developed - we drew inspiration for his level 2 super from the new "Nuke Mode" that was introduced in the game.
Sweet Tooth has always had this sort of campy B-movie feel to him, which led us to thinking we should have him use the PS3 controller as a weapon in his super.
86w ago - Senior Producer Zach Wood has announced today that Axel will be available to all tomorrow alongside the Starhawk Sweet Tooth Skin as part of the incoming Twisted Metal PS3 update.
To quote: We're pleased to confirm that Axel will be available to all Twisted Metal players with the upcoming free patch on April 18th.
If you missed him through early pre-order access, this will be your chance to deal some serious destruction in new ways. Bothered by some unrelenting enemies? Blow them away with Axel's signature Crowd Control attack, or run them right over with his ruthless War Wheel alternate special attack.
You can learn more about Axel gameplay strategies (along with strategies for all vehicles) in the Twisted Metal University series at TwistedMetal.com.
After studying up on your vehicle of choice, take it for a spin in online multiplayer where we've tirelessly been working on updates driven by user feedback. Give it a try and keep the feedback coming!
Finally, you've seen pictures from our initial January announcement that Sweet Tooth would be making an appearance in Starhawk, but you've never seen him in action...until today. Check out Sweet Tooth's Outcast form in this new video:
98w ago - Twisted Metal Producer Chad Cox has officially confirmed today that Twisted Metal has gone gold, and it comes with a Starhawk Sweet Tooth Skin as well!
To quote: Hey everyone, I'm back with some great news- Twisted Metal's gone gold in North America!
We - the crew over at Eat Sleep Play and Sony Santa Monica - have been working so hard for the past few years and it's tough to express just how happy we are to be one enormous step closer to putting Twisted Metal in your hands this coming Valentine's Day. We put a lot of love into this game and can't wait for you all to play it and let us know what you think.
But the good news doesn't stop there. Our friends over at LightBox Interactive have been cooking up something really amazing, and I'm excited to show it to you all today- the Sweet Tooth Outcast Multiplayer skin for Starhawk, coming May 8th! Every copy of Twisted Metal will include a voucher for this awesome skin.
On top of that, if you pre-order Twisted Metal you'll get early access to Axel and a free upgrade to the Limited Edition that comes with a code to download Twisted Metal: Black.
We'll be sharing even more news up through Twisted Metal's February 14th launch, so be on the lookout! Until then, let us know - what about Twisted Metal...
112w ago - LightBox Interactive President Dylan Jobe has unveiled some sweet Starhawk PS3 Beta news today for fans alongside a new video, as follows:
Boy, do I have some exciting news to share with all of our Warhawk fans today, but first, let me serve you all some delicious hors d'oeuvres de Internets!
We were so happy with the response to Starhawk at PAX that the SCEA marketing machine leveled-up, cast Videozzaga and summoned a quick video of our Santa Monica Sr. Producer Harvard Bonin talking with people at the show in Seattle after they got hands-on with Starhawk!
Not only was it great to see people loving Starhawk at PAX, the team and I love seeing coverage and buzz about the game start to pick up speed.
And with our announcement last week that early access keys for the Starhawk Public Beta will be included in Uncharted 3, well... things are now moving forward at ludicrous speed! It was great to read all the comments, tweets and Facebook posts from players who are just now getting introduced to Starhawk's gameplay and universe and the LightBox Interactive team and I can't wait to see all of you online in early 2012!
