We're extremely excited to be releasing Garden Warfare on PS4 and PS3 this August 19th. To celebrate, I'd like to give a quick introduction to our split-screen survival mode, as well as some tips for beginners and veterans alike.

In our split-screen mode, it's you and a friend teaming up to protect your garden from an endless zombie horde. With just two plants versus all of Dr. Zomboss' minions, character selection is key. While all characters can be successful, choosing complementary classes can help to turn the tide in your favor. The Pea Shooter and Sunflower are natural companions.

He's a mid-range specialist, and she's a healer. Pretty obvious stuff, I know. But what you might not know is that the Chomper and Cactus make quite the formidable pair. The Chomper's ability to bite right through armor allows him to take care of pesky Coffin and Outhouse zombies, leaving the Cactus free to snipe ranged zombies from a safe distance.

While it would be against From Software's design philosophy to give you a detailed map of the world and a full explanation of the game's story, we did want to give you a few pointers before you go beyond death come March 11th on PS3.

A few basic changes exist within Dark Souls II that even the Souls veterans might want to know before venturing into the land of Drangleic:

Fast Travel: Bonfire's serve as the "checkpoints" in Dark Souls II. As soon as you light a new Bonfire, you're able to travel between that fire and any other Bonfire that you've lit.

Leveling: Spending hard-earned souls to level up can only happen with the Emerald Herald, a specific NPC you'll need to return to each time you wish to seek more power.

SOMA Update, New Trailer: Crafting Survival Horror on PS4

Before I get started, I should say a few words about the new teaser trailer, "Theta". This video showcases a few in-game scenes along with fresh voice work. Our hope is to give you a taste of the feel and atmosphere that SOMA will have. It also contains a few clues on what the game's story will be about.

SOMA's current status

We are currently about a week away from the alpha of the game. This is a build in which a bit more than half of the full game is playable. It's currently clocking in at around 5 hours, meaning the final game will end up at 8 hours or so.





A game like SOMA is a bit different to have in alpha than most other games. Normally, a game relies on a core mechanic that creates the basic engagement....

Here's the story so far... In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, the facility was recently re-opened by the "research and charity" branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation.

Taking advantage of the Asylum's history and remote location, they've been operating in strict secrecy. That is, they were until the reporter arrived.

Video: Introducing Kodoku, New Survival Horror for PS4 and PS Vita

You may have seen screenshots of Kodoku, the horror game we are currently working on for PS4 and PS Vita. If not, take a look at the images in this post.

For the uninitiated, here is a quick recap. The game is a horror and exploration game, set on a Japanese island. Instead of shooting guns at zombies, you will have to use strategy and stealth to survive all the Lovecraftian creatures - inspired by Japanese folklore - that live on the island.

You will also be able to use magic talismans you will learn to craft on the island, in order to find your best way to face enemies.





This game means a lot to us. We wanted an original art direction, a very specific mood and general feeling - decisions which, we think, will lead to a unique horror experience.

We grew up with horror games (most of us are huge fans of Siren series) and were fascinated by what we could do with all those legends and stories, so started building the game we wanted...
