This weekend a video of Sony's new 360 degree 3D hologram display in action surfaced via GameTrailers.

This cylindrical concept can be viewed from all angles, and was on display at Tokyo's Digital Contents Expo just before the weekend.

We caught our first glimpse of the PlayStation 3's new 3D Mode last month, and now a new video is available from this year's Tokyo Game Show.

Sony Computer Entertainment held a technology demonstration there showcasing once again WipEout HD being played in Stereoscopic 3D mode on the PS3 console... which requires the player to wear special glasses to see the effect.

Today, Capcom announced that North American PC gamers will be able to get their hands on Resident Evil 5 on September 15th.

European PC owners will have to wait three extra days, or September 18th, to get their hands on the game.

Next3D has confirmed that its 3D movie player technology is heading to the PS3 as well as the MAC platform. The software is free, and the technology can provide 1080p high definition stereoscopic imagery.

Next3D’s technology is based around a proposed specification for the H.264 video standard.

Cool monitors.. Who wants one?!!! :D

iZ3D plan to show off a new line of 3D monitors at next month's Consumer Electronics show. The line-up includes a 22-inch monitor with a custom paint job.

The president of a 3D certification and advocacy group has revealed that Sony fully intends to support 3D gaming and Blu-ray 3D on the PlayStation 3 in 2009.

It will need a BIOS upgrade to work, and it is speculated that 3D gaming may be unique to the PS3 out of all other gaming consoles.
