37w ago - FarSight Studios Lead Designer Bobby King confirmed that Star Trek: The Next Generation warps to The Pinball Arcade today.
Below are the details, to quote: Hey everyone, Bobby King from FarSight Studios here. We just got back from Dallas and the Texas Pinball Festival.
It's a tremendously fun weekend that includes playing hundreds of classic and rare pinball machines to the latest tables from Stern Pinball, like The Avengers; and Jersey Jack's first table, Wizard of Oz (which looks and plays great and features the first LCD backbox display in pinball history).
Next weekend, we'll have a booth in Milwaukee at the Midwest Gaming Classic, so if you live in the area, stop by and check out the show. There will be everything from classic video game consoles and coin-op to tons of pinball.
In Dallas, we were lucky enough to get to spend some time with legendary pinball designer, Steve Ritchie. The "King of Flow" even took some time to check out our latest PS3 feature, stereoscopic 3D before heading back to Stern where we know he's working on his next pinball design destined to be a classic.
This week we'll be releasing one of his designs, Star Trek: The Next Generation. It's...
85w ago - Sony Correspondent Andy Burt has announced today alongside a video trailer that Star Trek is teleporting to PlayStation 3 complete with both co-op and 3D for fans!
To quote: Thanks to the storytelling wizardry and storytelling chops of J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot, one of the most beloved sci-fi series in history teeters on the brink of a renaissance among fans and newcomers alike.
With Star Trek for PS3, developer Digital Extremes is crafting a standalone story that takes place between the 2009 film and the upcoming sequel. The hope: to boldly go where no licensed game has gone before.
Star Trek is a cooperative third-person shooter, but that description doesn't do the game much justice. The two controllable characters, Captain Kirk and Spock, both experience the story differently, with branching paths and narratives that will give the game a substantial amount of replay value.
Each character is also equipped with their own individual weapons and skills, each complementing the other in a variety of ways. For instance, Spock's Vulcan mind meld ability allows him to turn foes into allies, forcing oncoming threats...

213w ago - PlayStation Network Executive Producer Kevin Furuichi has shared a preview video of Sony's Qore Episode 18, which features ModNation Racers, Assassin's Creed II, ILM and Star Trek.
To quote: In our 18th episode, we'll show you a creative kart, an assassin with a heart, and moviemaking art.
United Front Games' first title for the PS3, ModNation Racers, looks to bring the same "play, create, share" ethos of LittleBigPlanet to the kart racing genre, with tons of customization options combined with lively racing action. Veronica Belmont sees firsthand how easy it is to create drivers, karts and tracks and gives us a taste of what is to come.
The highly-anticipated sequel Assassin's Creed II is almost upon us. Qore returns to the dangerous world of Renaissance Italy with an in-depth look at an all-new mission set in Venice including some amazing gameplay and information on new characters and tactics. There's even a "spoiler" you can skip or dare to watch!
Industrial Light & Magic created the special effects for some of our favorite films spanning the decades from Star Wars to Transformers. In part one of our visit to ILM's Presidio campus, they pull back the curtain to show Audrey Cleo the tech behind...
