The standard definition presentation includes Dolby Digital English 5.1 Surround, LAS Mono and French Mono as well as English, LAS and French subtitles. The HD DVD presentation features English Dolby True HD and LAS Mono with English and LAS subtitles. The DVD is not rated in the U.S. and rated G in Canada.

Even after a few games of hands-on time, we were passing when we meant to shoot, deking when we meant to shoot, and on rare occasion shooting when we meant to shoot.
The basics aren't that difficult: deke with the right stick, pass with LB, and shoot with RB. Easy, right? If that was all, yes. The complications come when you're speed bursting with the right trigger, or super speed bursting with the A button. You slap shot with the left trigger and RB. All those button presses get very confusing, and more often than we liked we passed up on the chance to wallop a slap shot because we couldn't sort the necessary combination in a sport that requires split-second decisions. Sony announced in a press release on Wednesday that the newly updated PSP 2000 is in stores now from $169.

The revamped units, first unveiled at E3 2007, are 33 percent lighter and 19 percent slimmer than original models. HD video and audio out have been added in addition to optimized memory for reduced loading times.
"PSP sales have soared since we introduced the $169.99 price point in April, and that momentum will only continue with the launch of the newly designed PSP," said Jack Tretton, president of Sony Computer Entertainment of America amid criticisms that the handheld lacks compelling software.
The redesigned PSP comes in three models; Piano Black for $169, a Ceramic White Star Wars bundle for $199, and the Ice Silver Daxter Entertainment bundle for $199.
An estimated 23 million PSP units have been sold worldwide compared to 49 million DS units.
Toshiba has releeased update 2.5 for the second generation of HD-DVD players, and on the higher models, 1080p/24hz is supported. The PS3 has had the ability for 24hz for a while, but now users in the HD-DVD camp can enjoy it. Other minor bugfixes were included.
Never ones to circumvent a controversy, Take-Two ruffled more than a few feathers with the inclusion of exceptionally talented football star and questionably acquitted murder suspect OJ Simpson in All-Pro Football 2K8. The move was made all the more controversial, considering Simpson could be assigned to the fictional Assassins team, knife-wielding mascot and all.
In August, Reuters reported that Simpson was to fork over royalties paid to him for his appearance in the game to the family of Ron Goldman as part of the still-outstanding $33.5 million civil suit judgment against the Juice. However, at the time, it was not revealed, exactly, how much Simpson received, though he was also ordered to turn over any legal documentation associated with the deal.

The fallen football star was arrested Sunday after a collector reported a group of armed men charged into his hotel room at a casino and took several items Simpson claimed belonged to him.
Simpson was booked on suspicion of assault and robbery with a deadly weapon. Clark County District Attorney David Roger filed those charges and added kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping, according to court documents.
LucasArts has announced its first next-gen title with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, an Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PS2, PSP and DS action title due in Spring 2008, featuring a Wii exclusive duel mode that will let players take part in a light saber battle using the Wii Remote.
Apart from the lightsaber functionality, LucasArts says the Wii version of the game, in development by Krome Studios (Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning), will also use the console's Nunchuk to control Force powers.
At TGS last year White Knight Story (Shirokishi Monogatari) stole the hearts of many RPG fans with its amazing debut video. The buzz went white hot almost immediately, with everyone wanting a chance to find out more behind the gorgeous graphics and get a taste of how it would play. In the subsequent months, though, the lack of any new information let it drift out of the spotlight with so many other high profile titles getting attention. But when it came out that the game would be playable on the floor at TGS this year, it all came rushing back. So when the doors opened, that made White Knight Story stop number one.

The PS2 version of the game looked perfectly fine -- more refined than the original, smoother gameplay and a less jarring frame rate -- but on PS3 the game shines. It's not the best-looking title on the console, but the cell-shaded visuals are somewhat similar in quality to Eternal Sonata, albeit with more subdued colors and less fanciful character designs. The "trotmobile" mechs retain their sense of real-world practicality, more closely resembling actual utility vehicles than the baroque robot suits common in most video games. Characters seem like normal people -- both of which seem important to selling the story, which (going by the game's trailer) revolves around an impoverished young man in ragged clothing who falls in love with the pretty flower girl he sees while working as a shoeshine boy on a frigid, snowy street.

Microsoft will launch an updated HD DVD drive for the Xbox 360 in 2008, it said at its 25th hardware anniversary in London today.
Mark Bennett, Microsoft's European business development director for HD DVD, demonstrated the technology's advanced interactive features and pointed out that Paramount, Universal Studios and many Warner Brothers high definition titles are exclusive to HD DVD.
"The interactive features actually work on HD DVD whereas Blu-ray titles are six to nine months away from getting features that actually work," Bennett said, referring to Blu-ray's current inability to do picture in picture videos. Bennett also said "there are more plans to incorporate HD DVD into the PC platform in the future."
