85w ago - Today German PlayStation 3 hacker SKFU has [Register or Login to view links] that the first PlayStation 4 (PS4) / Orbis products have been spotted via PSN.

While there aren't many details available yet besides the picture below, here is what he states:

PS4 - PSN preparations began. Time to start research

First PS4/Orbis products already spotted via PSN, getting interested

From Wololo (via wololo.net/2013/05/03/ps4-test-data-and-upcoming-content-spotted-on-psn-by-hacker/): PS4 Test Data and upcoming content spotted on PSN by hacker

PS3 scene member SKFU is known for his habit of sniffing and manipulating networks packets (in particular he likes to tinker the stuff Sony doesn’t necessarily want you to see when communications happen between your home network and the PSN). Today he spotted some content on the PSN that seems to be test data for the upcoming PS4.

Using what is apparently a private tools of his (interestingly named “psnsss” a.k.a. PSN Store Secrets Search), SKFU has found some test products related to the PS4, on the PSN. He revealed his findings with a simple screenshot that can be found below.

From what I can see on the screenshot, the test data is not...

400°
245w ago - This weekend IronstarMovement.com (linked above) has shared a pic and some videos from the Seattle Playstation Move Event, where Sony's Jeff Rubinstein raffled off an extremely limited edition Bumble Bee PS3 Slim console.

To quote: "Last night I attended the PlayStation Move event that was held in Seattle, WA. It was a great night filled with good food, mixed drinks, and of course some sweet giveaways.

I also messed around with the PlayStation Move, got a nice confirmation that there will be a Socom 4 Beta (thanks Jill Webber), and I also got a nice close look at the Playstation Move tech demo.

If you would like to take a look at last night's festivities go ahead and check out the videos below."

Rumor: Resistance 3 PS3 Billboard Ad Spotted in Louisiana

550°
271w ago - Today goldsoundz from NeoGAF (linked above) spotted a Resistance 3 PS3 billboard ad in Louisiana.

The billboard may be made specifically for Battle: Los Angeles, an upcoming movie from Sony's Columbia Pictures.

The unannounced title, presumably to be released in fall of 2010 on the PS3, would be the third game in the series, following Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 on the PlayStation 3.

A video is below, and to quote: "I saw this billboard today in Shreveport, Louisiana. There are a lot of movies filmed here, and this one is about some sort of alien takeover of Los Angeles; the name of the film escapes me at the moment.

Snapped off a few photos of the billboard since I wasn't sure if the game had been announced yet or not. If not, then I'm surprised Insomniac would be announcing it here of all places."

PS3 250GB Bundle with Gray Box Spotted at European Retailer

350°
272w ago - Recently Sony announced that new PS3 250GB bundles were heading for Europe, and this past week UK Retail Pricing was also confirmed.

Today Engadget received a picture (below) of a 250GB PS3 Slim bundle spotted at an unspecified retail store in Europe.

Although it's a bit hard to tell from the image, it appears the 250GB PlayStation 3 bundles come in a gray box, versus the original white one pictured to the right.

To quote: "The new 250 PS3 Slim might be listed 'in stock' on Amazon.co.uk, but it's not arriving until October 6th according to the online retailer.

This particular model, however, is up for sale right this instant at some unnamed retail store in Europe - even though it's hanging out behind a rather messy help desk in this particular shot."

PS3 Price Drop to $199 Spotted on David Jaffe's Twitter?!

500°
281w ago - Update: It appears as though he was just joking, with a follow-up tweet stating:

"I keed... I keed! But wouldn't that rock?!?! Hey, gimme a break! It's late and I'm working on a Sunday nite! Sue me! Love ya'll! "

We could have yet another in a long line of PS3 Price Drop confirmations as follows..

Last night David Jaffe's [Register or Login to view links] shows the following tweet:

"Sh*t! It's on. PS3 price drop news from JAPAN! $199 US dollars?!? They were NOT kidding...sh*t! SWEET!"

If this is true, Sony's PlayStation 3 console now has the price to compete with the less expensive Nintendo Wii and Microsoft's Xbox 360.

Although David Jaffe's work (most notebly in God of War and Twisted Metal) is admired by many gamers, some are already questioning how that makes him an authority on the retail price of the PS3... only time will tell for sure.
