7w ago - XMPT Games Developer Luke Staddon announced today alongside a video that Monster Hotel is now available as part of their PlayStation Mobile spotlight.
To quote: I'm Luke, from XMPT Games: a small, five-person indie development studio based in Southampton, England. We've been together as a company for less than a year, and are best known for our PS Mobile release, Penguin Party.
We started XMPT Games because we all love playing games and we wanted to start releasing our own. We had all dabbled in various aspects of game development, and decided that it would be fun to see what we could create by working together.
We love taking part in game jams - pitting our design, coding and graphics skills to the test against a time limit - so for our second PS Mobile title we decided to run our own internal game jam.
Picking the theme of the game ourselves just didn't seem in the spirit of game jamming, so we put out a request on our Facebook page for people to suggest topics around which we could base our game.
We ended up with about 50 different responses, and the next day we threw all of the suggestions into a hat and picked one out at random. The winner was "Harmony".
After discussing a whole bunch of ideas, we eventually settled on the concept for Monster...

12w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment America Associate Product Marketing Manager Derek Osgood invites fans to watch the Beyond: Two Souls PS3 extended TV spot today.
Below are the details, to quote: Hey, PlayStation Fans! Today we're pleased to share the 60-second, extended version of our "Guilt" TV spot.
In this spot, we set out with a couple of different goals. We wanted to give viewers a snapshot of Jodie's story through a series of flashbacks, by highlighting some of the stunning situations she's going to be thrust into by her mysterious connection with the entity, Aiden.
Ultimately, we want you to get a sense for the incredible scope and diversity of Jodie's journey, while understanding the touching and emotional experience that Beyond: Two Souls is going to provide.
Even more so than most games, it's difficult to truly convey what Beyond: Two Souls' story really is in a 60-second video, because of the fact that it spans such a huge section of Jodie's life.
The story itself is also told non-chronologically, so really, to fully understand the Beyond's story, you're going to have to play it for yourself.
We still have a couple more trailers to share with you between now and...

32w ago - Today German PlayStation 3 hacker SKFU has Tweeted that the first PlayStation 4 (PS4) / Orbis products have been spotted via PSN.
While there aren't many details available yet besides the picture below, here is what he states:
PS4 - PSN preparations began. Time to start research
First PS4/Orbis products already spotted via PSN, getting interested
From Wololo (via wololo.net/2013/05/03/ps4-test-data-and-upcoming-content-spotted-on-psn-by-hacker/): PS4 Test Data and upcoming content spotted on PSN by hacker
PS3 scene member SKFU is known for his habit of sniffing and manipulating networks packets (in particular he likes to tinker the stuff Sony doesn’t necessarily want you to see when communications happen between your home network and the PSN). Today he spotted some content on the PSN that seems to be test data for the upcoming PS4.
Using what is apparently a private tools of his (interestingly named “psnsss” a.k.a. PSN Store Secrets Search), SKFU has found some test products related to the PS4, on the PSN. He revealed his findings with a simple screenshot that can be found below.
From what I can see on the screenshot, the test data is not...
