To quote: With Spring on the horizon, we figured it might be time to test a new format of delivering your PS Plus updates.

This month, we're providing an outlook of the major stuff hitting the Instant Game Collection in March with this update, but you'll still want to check the weekly posts to see the discounts and any other freebies available to you as a PS Plus member.

Set in a fictional Dubai which has been wiped off the map by a cataclysmic sandstorm, you're tasked with leading your squad to find out what happened to the American squad that was sent in to rescue the city, and find out what lies buried beneath the sand, along with the world's most opulent ruin.

Video: Spec Ops: The Line for PS3 Demo from E3 2010 Arrives

221w ago - Today Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared a PS3 demo video from E3 2010 showcasing Spec Ops: The Line for the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

To quote: In [Register or Login to view links] upcoming PS3 third-person action game [Register or Login to view links], catastrophic sandstorms have assaulted Dubai and left the City of Gold's famous gravity-defying skyscrapers entombed under mountains of choking, swirling sand.

I sat in on a demonstration of Spec Ops: The Line at the 2010 E3 Expo, and learned more about the game's improvisational combat and tense atmosphere, as well as the difficult decisions you'll face as a Delta Force squad leader.

The story finds inspiration in the film [Register or Login to view links]. As Delta Force Captain Martin Walker, your team ventures into the Dubai wastes to track down a distress signal from Colonel John Konrad, who went AWOL following the sandstorms.

The fate of Col. Konrad and his men will be revealed as you play, but if you've seen Apocalypse Now, you might have some clues about the dark territory this tale will explore.

Video: Spec Ops: The Line VGA 2009 Exclusive Debut Trailer

250w ago - A new third person shooter was announced at the VGA's last night.

Spec Ops: The Line is an upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter video game that takes place in Dubai.

It is currently under development by Yager Development and published by 2K Games for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

Below is the debut trailer for Spec Ops: The Line, from the 2009 Video Game Awards.

The video's caption read as follows: "Eliminate the corruption in Dubai in 2K's take on modern warfare."
