To quote: One week ago, PlayStation 4 was announced in New York City in a presentation streamed by more than 12 million gamers.
We met the new DualShock 4 controller, soaked up some impressive hardware specs and services, and watched a barrage of upcoming PS4 games, from inFAMOUS: Second Son to Bungie's new title Destiny.
During the presentation, Lead System Architect Mark Cerny remarked that the PS4 was made "by game creators, for game creators."

263w ago - Just under two weeks ago, word broke on Nintendo's Wii Speak stating the Wii Speak Channel is only for Wii Speak purchasers and not to buy it used.
The reason for this was that the peripheral's manual stated the code needed to download the Wii Speak Channel "cannot be replaced by Nintendo or your retailer if it is lost or stolen." This would have meant that those who bought it used would not have been able to download the Wii Speak Channel.
Since then, Nintendo seems to have had a change of heart and has stated: "Nintendo can confirm that when consumers purchase the Wii Speak accessory, they are provided with a Wii Download Ticket with a unique number. The ticket, which can be redeemed via the Wii Shop Channel, will enable the user to download the Wii Speak Channel free of charge to a single Wii console," the representative stated.
"Any consumer who may have misplaced their Wii Download Ticket number for the Wii Speak Channel or require a new number following a Wii exchange may contact their local Nintendo Customer Services department, where they can request a replacement Wii Download Ticket number."
265w ago - A Nintendo rep has said that the only way gamers will be able to download the Wii Speak Channel is with a "Wii Download Ticket Number" that is printed in a pamphlet that comes with the Wii Speak microphone.
This apparently means that if you buy the peripheral it used, you won't be able to use it as you can't download the Wii Speak Channel.
To quote: But there's a catch, a fine print surprise. There is a pamphlet packaged with the peripheral that includes a 16-character code, a "Wii Download Ticket Number," to be used for downloading the Wii Speak Channel.
According to the pamphlet, this code "cannot be replaced by Nintendo or your retailer if it is lost or stolen."
