Sony Announces PlayStation Home 1.5, Sodium Space and More

171w ago - Sony's PS Home Community Specialist GlassWalls has announced the arrival of PlayStation Home version 1.5 update with the addition of a Sodium Personal Space and an Aurora War Event.

To quote: PlayStation Home will be taken offline this evening for our weekly content publish.

While this downtime will occur approximately 24 hours earlier than what you have become accustomed to per our regular schedule, when the doors are re-opened on the morning of Wednesday, April 20th, you'll find that PlayStation Home will be updated to version 1.5 and will, in turn, be bigger and better than ever before.

PlayStation Home v1.5 was developed with one singular goal in mind: high-quality games. The 1.5 update will introduce a suite of new technology for developers with tools that will provide their future games with real-time multiplayer, improved physics, as well as more realistic graphics and animations.

PlayStation Home v1.5 is packed with tools and features that will enable developers to expand the types of games possible on the platform - from first-person shooters with real-time, peer-to-peer multiplayer to racing games and more.

Also coming with v1.5 are more avatar save slots (24!), new facial building features, better furniture management, various graphical tweaks...
 

PlayStation Home: Sodium, FF XIII Clothing and Monkey Island!

223w ago - SCEE Home Community Lead Alex Weekes has posted this week's European PlayStation Home update today, which includes a Sodium update, FF XIII clothing, Monkey Island and more!

To quote: Monkey Island has to be the gem of this week's update: In additional to the incredible Ghost Pirate Ship personal space, there's a huge range of furniture as well as costumes for Guybrush Threepwood and LeChuck.

For the biggest fans of Monkey Island, check out the Ghost Pirate Ship bundle, that includes an array of selected furniture items. Make sure to watch this space for more content from LucasArts coming soon!

This week sees the Sodium space receive significant updates. Many of the updates are aimed at making it easier for everyone to move about the space, including: moving the spawn point; moving VICKIE; adding a teleporter to a new Tank Trainer space; and the addition of a new interactive "You Are Here" map. Other updates include a Golden VICKIE and new items to purchase from VICKIE.

The long-awaited Final Fantasy XIII costumes arrive tomorrow! Featuring costumes for Snow, Lightning, Vanille and Sazh, these costumes are sure to stand out in a crowd. You'll also find four new furniture items, including two Lightning figures and a Flying Ship model.
