14w ago - Sony Santa Monica Studio Lead Game Designer Seth Killian announced that Kat and Emmet join the Battle Royale today, and will be free for two weeks!
Below are the details, as follows: We're happy to follow up PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale's win for "Best Fighting Game" at the DICE Awards (the awards where all of the voting is done by other games industry pros), with a gift to all the players that have supported the project from the start.
I hear from a lot of you guys, and I know you've been waiting patiently... but that wait ends today! We've got two new PlayStation All-Stars joining the Battle Royale: Kat from Gravity Rush, and Emmett Graves from Starhawk.
Any fighting fan will tell you how much it means to have new characters joining a game, but it's even better because - as promised - these DLC characters are totally free for two weeks!
Wait, "free for two weeks" sounds funny... Does that mean if I download them, after two weeks is up I have to pay? Nope. You have a two week window to download the DLC. If you do, the characters are yours free, forever and ever. You can play them online, offline, upside...
18w ago - SuperBot Entertainment Community Manager Daniel Maniago has revealed today that new PlayStation All-Stars will join the battle on February 12th, and will be free for two weeks!
To quote: I'm excited to finally announce that our first wave of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale DLC will be available February 12th. Here's what to expect.
Kat graces PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale with her presence, as an up-close melee fighter who utilizes her ability to manipulate gravity to turn the tide in battle.
Players who enjoyed Gravity Rush on PS Vita know that Kat loves to bend gravity to allow her to dash, slide, and fly from one place to another, and her All-Stars incarnation is no exception. Those who enjoy AP burst combos and varied mobility will definitely gravitate towards Kat.
Emmett Graves from Starhawk joins the fray! He brings his signature "Build & Battle" style from Starhawk, calling down different structures to aid him in battle, including Rift Extractors for AP and Flak Turrets that fire at will.
Aside from his default rifle and pistol, Emmett can also call for additional weaponry in the form of shotgun and rocket launcher loadouts, allowing him to adapt to any situation. These...
18w ago - Sony PlayStation Digital Platforms Community Manager Paul Sullivan has announced today that they will be offering a free PlayStation Mobile Game every Wednesday for six weeks!
To quote: We're still in a giving mood long after the holidays have come and gone. To prove it, we're giving away six PlayStation Mobile games. Each week for the next six weeks, you'll be able to pick up one PlayStation Mobile title for free - that's a new free title each week.
To kick off this party we needed to find a title with a lot of punch, and we couldn't think of anything more appropriate than Samurai Beatdown. This fast-paced, side-scrolling slash-em-up pits your samurai rhythm skills against waves and waves of evil demons.
Download the game for free from the PlayStation Mobile Store on your PS Vita or PlayStation Certified Device. It's free now, so be sure to jump in and pick up your copy today.
Then check the Store Update post each Tuesday between now and February 19th to see which new PlayStation Mobile game will be free that week! One new game will be listed as free each Wednesday.
If you've never downloaded a game from the Mobile store, now's...
188w ago - The team behind Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising have stated that DLC will be coming to the PS3, XBox 360 and PC in a matter of weeks for the game.
Codemasters' Sion Lenton, Exec Producer, revealed the following in an interview with Telegraph, to quote:
"We've got some very ambitious plans with DLC - our first pack is coming up in a matter of weeks. We'll also have title updates coming up because once the game's out there, we'll need to get feedback from the people who are playing it, and if need be make a few adjustments and tweaks.
Our team are already prototyping all sorts of stuff to be released as DLC and we're really excited about it. It's a really different type of market now; I remember five or six years ago, you'd get a game, finish it, put it back on the shelf and that was it.
But now it's almost as though the game's release is just the beginning, really. Ours is a game that lends itself very well to expansion - there will be weapons packs, map packs - all sorts of things we can do to get our product out there."
196w ago - Today AceSoloMcCloud shared some news on the official EU PlayStation boards (linked above) that a Ghostbusters PS3 patch fix update will arrive within the next two weeks.
Issues to be addressed are freezes and lockups present that are so bad that a gamer must power off their PS3 by the rear rocker switch. Glitched PS3 Trophies and errors when players from Europe and Australia try to play with players from the US and gamesave data not loading or corrupting are also on the list.
To quote: "I understand from your correspondence that you have encountered some issues with this title. As the title's publisher, we have been made aware of some issues that are currently affecting a very small number of users.
I can advise that the developer of this title, Atari, are currently working on a patch to address these issues which we expect to be available within the next two weeks."
