113w ago - This is just a quick PSA that we have now completed work integrating the PS3 News Quick Style Chooser into our Forums, Portal and 17 Subdomains hosted here which allows you to change the colors based on your preferences while browsing the site each day.
It can be found in the bottom left corner of each page here, and we will continue adding Styles to it frequently.
If anyone wishes to take a screenshot like HeyManHRU did HERE and fill in the colors you'd like to see we will do our best to add a Style under your UserName to pick from as time permits!
Finally, we are still offering $100 US for a new Site Logo... so far we have had a lot of GREAT design ideas in the ongoing thread with the criteria outlined below:
The logo should look decent with a transparent background, or able to be made that way upon being selected (most are).
The logo design should be unique so that when seen the first thing that comes to a viewer's mind is our site, not "Sony" or "PlayStation 3" so try to avoid using pics of the PS3 itself or...
278w ago - Sony has launched a LittleBigPlanet news site (linked above) today. The site aims to keep us up to date with the latest LBP goodness, either direct from Media Molecule, Sony Computer Entertainment, or from the community.
Per SackBoy103: LittleBigWelcome!!!
Welcome to the new LittleBigPlanet News Site - your destination for anything LBP.
Our goal is to keep you up to date with the latest LBP goodness either direct from Media Molecule, Sony Computer Entertainment, or from you, the community. Since we revealed LittleBigPlanet at the 2007 Game Developers Conference, the team has been working hard - creating the game, touring to game events and conducting interviews with our favorite press - and as we reach the homestretch its time to make time for our fans.
Our LBP fans have made so many amazing tributes to LittleBigPlanet, and we'd like to share what we see and know with everyone. So stay tuned for categories like "LBP 101," "SackBoy in the news," "LittleBigChallenges" and much, much, more...
For now, the news site will keep you informed, educated and hopefully excited about our release in October, but eventually, our website will evolve into something much bigger and better to support our community of Players, Creators and Sharers.
281w ago - If you, or anyone you know, is having trouble accessing our Web site or Site Forums please let us know and include the following details:
• PC OS (Windows, Linux, etc)
• Web Browser and Version (Internet Explorer, FireFox, etc)
• Geographic Location (US, EU, etc)
• ISP (if you feel comfortable)
• Firewall/Internet Security Software (Norton, McAfee, etc)
For the last week or so we've been having some Web server issues, hence the delayed Site News updates, ranging from our Portal to RSS and Forum issues. Our dedicated Newsposter Staff have been given the week off, while CJPC (who is currently quite sick) and myself have been trying to sort things out.
Everyone we speak with on IRC say they can access the Site/Forums OK, and we can ourselves, however, traffic analytics tell us over the last week or so over there is nearly a 50% drop... most visible accessing the Forums. Obviously summer is upon us and people are on vacation, but not 50% of the PS3News Forum Members are all at once
We are trying to troubleshoot this, and once things are back to normal we also have some nice PS3 Dev progress to share as well.
284w ago - In recent months, many of us have been so wrapped up with PS3 stuff and the nice spring/summer weather that we didn't have time to finish testing some of the new vBulletin 3.7 features until recently.
The Staff'ers and Member classes have been using "Profile Visitor Messaging" for several weeks now successfully, and so tonight we have enabled it for the Registered User (5+ posts) class as well.
Pictured below, I received a Profile Visitor Message from Starlight, and whenever you leave one for a user they receive a notification in their Forum navbar (circled in red). Upon clicking the "Unread Profile Visitor Messages" I read it, and then replied to Starlight on his Profile (below the red triangle/arrow).
That's it, just wanted to make Registered Users aware they can now communicate with other users using this new system... you can also EDIT any Visitor Messages on your own Profile too guys. Have fun!
