PlayStation Plus: Shadow of the Colossus is Free for Members

51w ago - Sony Senior Community Specialist Kristine Steimer announced today that Shadow of the Colossus is free for PS Plus members as part of this weeks PlayStation Plus content updates.

To quote: Those poor, poor Colossi. All they want is be left alone to wander majestically, but if you want to save your lady friend, you're gonna have to bring them down. I know.

Take a minute to prepare your mental state, and then make sure your hard drive is ready for this awesome game when it becomes free for PlayStation Plus members tomorrow. There are also discounts on some Activision titles including classic titles like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon.

All of these PS Plus benefits will be available after the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow, 10/8.

163w ago - Today Sony Associate Product Marketing Manager Brian Dunn has revealed the upcoming PlayStation 3 bonus content and PS3 Trophies for ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection.

To quote: The release of the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, bundling two of the most highly acclaimed video games of all time, is right around the corner.

Back in July, we revealed that there will be some exciting bonus video content included on the disc, as well as a dynamic theme for ICO and one for Shadow of the Colossus. Now that the videos are finished, I'm happy to give you a preview of what you'll be able to look forward to when the collection hits on September 27.

167w ago - Today Sony's Associate Product Marketing Manager Brian Dunn has detailed the bonus content coming to ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection for the PS3 entertainment system.

To quote: We're just a few short months away from the release of the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection for PlayStation 3.

As mentioned in the original announcement, this new collection features two of the most highly acclaimed video games of all time, now with full 1080p HD and stereoscopic 3D support, 7.1 surround sound, and full PSN Trophy support, all for just $39.99.

As if that wasn't enough reason to pick up this collection in September, I'm happy to announce that the disc will also come with some amazing bonus content. Packed in every new copy of the game will be a voucher for two XMB Dynamic Themes, one for ICO and one for Shadow of the Colossus.
