PS4 Firmware 2.0 Masamune Screens Show Yellow and Pink Dashboard

700°
8w ago - Following up on the recent PS4 Firmware 2.0 Masamune news, today Sony released as few more Masamune screens detailing how the PlayStation 4 dashboard looks in yellow and pink below.

To quote: "The PS4 firmware update 2.0 "Masamune" will allow you to paint your dashboard in seven different colors on top of the classic blue, and Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia gave us two examples as part of a press release. Yellow and pink (below).

It's interesting to see that the system tiles will remain blue, even if a slight transparency (which you wouldn't easily notice with the default blue color) will tint them with a slight hue from the background color.

The colors available will be blue, yellow, dark blue, red, teal, lavender, pink and dark grey. It's worth mentioning that those aren't official names, which haven't been disclosed yet.

Update 2.0 will be released on Tuesday, and then we'll probably learn what the blue dot near the online friends count means, as it still hasn't been announced.

Personally, I already know dark grey will be my choice. What about you?"

I've been asked what our goals are this year, and the answer is simple. Everyone on our team takes great pride in chasing our goal of producing the perfect sports game. It's what has made The Show the highest rated sports franchise over the last 8 years.

We've already covered some of what's new this year in our previous post here on the PlayStation.Blog. To recap: there are more than 50 new features and improvements that will enhance, deepen, streamline, and better your overall experience.

Quick Counts will cut game completion times in half. A new UI, built from the ground up for PS4 (but carried over across all versions) has been optimized for maximum efficiency and responsiveness.
