LittleBigPlanet Karting PS3 Beta Dated, San Diego Game Jam Recap

93w ago - Sony Associate Producer Jason Coker has officially announced the LittleBigPlanet Karting PS3 and PS Vita Beta release dates today alongside a recap of the recent San Diego Game Jam below.

To quote: I'm happy to report to you all that the LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta will begin next Tuesday, July 10th.

Those of you lucky enough to be selected will start receiving codes next week, and we will be sending out vouchers to more people as the test continues through Tuesday, July 31st, so if you haven't registered yet, make your way over and sign up ASAP right here.

In related news, we recently had a really amazing group of LBP creators join us for an entire week here at SCEA's San Diego Studio where they were able to get their hands dirty experimenting with LBP Karting's Create tools.

I think it's safe to say that a good time was had by all, and the participants gave us invaluable feedback on some tweaks that will end up giving you all really great experience when LBP Karting hits store shelves later this year.

The LBP franchise has always had a strong community element so it was great to have the people we're making the game for in our studio face to face talking through their creative ideas and processes. At the end of the day, this level of interaction...
 

Sony Details PlayStation San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Events List

143w ago - Today Sony's Senior Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has outlined this year's PlayStation Comic-Con 2011 events list, which takes place in San Diego from July 21-24, 2011.

To quote: We're gearing up for a full slate activities at San Diego Comic-Con 2011 and we wanted to give you a sneak peek at our schedule for the show, since we're hoping you'll be a part of it.

As you might expect, we'll be demoing the latest content from our upcoming titles at our booth on the show floor (#4237). Come check out our booth and go hands-on with games including Resistance 3, Starhawk, UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception, Journey, Twisted Metal and more.

For a special treat, we're busy putting the finishing touches on custom arcade cabinets for Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One that we'll be unveiling at our booth this week.

That's a 40″ Sony Bravia 3Dtv with 3D glasses, custom artwork from Insomniac Games and a set of illuminated custom DualShock 3 controllers painted with the colors of Ratchet, Clank, Qwark and Dr. Nefarious! We can't wait to set this and the 2D model up on the floor.
