Video: New Sacred 3 PlayStation 3 Trailer Showcases Co-op Combat

5w ago - Deep Silver's Ryan Avery made available a new Sacred 3 PlayStation 3 trailer video today that showcases co-op combat below.

To quote: The Sacred franchise has always been known for its co-op play and humor, and this new trailer echoes those strengths loud and clear in Sacred 3 on PS3.

Returning fans and new players will fight back the hordes of the evil Emperor Zane while competing with friends to prove who is Ancaria's greatest champion.

A strong team is necessary to defeat the countless enemies of the evil empire. You'll need to equip combat arts and weapon spirits that will complement your team and your own unique play style.

However, there are powerful enemies that won't be easily slain. Combine your powers with other champions to cast devastating co-op combat arts.

Once the dust from the battles has settled, the scoresheet will reveal which hero will stand as the undisputed champion over his or her peers. This establishes a delicate balance between friendly cooperation and cut-throat competition.

Pre-order Sacred 3 to receive the mysterious new blood-magic wielding champion, the Malakhim.

Deep Silver on Exploring Weapon Spirits in Sacred 3 for PS3

12w ago - Deep Silver developer Ryan Avery shared a PlayStation 3 update today on exploring weapon spirits in Sacred 3 for PS3.

Below are the details, as follows: Sacred 3 will introduce Weapon Spirits to the world of Ancaria.

These are more than just weapon modifies - they'll help the player to level their heroes and make their equipped weapons deadlier than ever. These mysterious spirits (some of which are based on characters from older Sacred games) come in all shapes and sizes, with many different powers to make for the perfect companion during the player's battle through Ancaria.

Weapon Spirits will enable players to increase critical hit rates, hamper enemy movement, regain health, provide essential support attributes as well as a multitude of other unique perks.

Let me jump quickly into an example of how these Weapon Spirits will specifically work in the game. One of the first Weapon Spirits that players will encounter is the Battle Mage.

Using him, you'll get less energy from orbs (found across Ancaria, containing health or energy to do special attacks) but you also have a 20% chance to trigger a Chain Lightning effect that hits four additional enemies for half your normal damage. What better way to wipe waves of enemies quickly?

22w ago - Today Ryan Avery at Deep Silver announced Sacred 3 is coming to PS3 on August 26th, 2014 alongside a new PlayStation 3 trailer below.

To quote: Sacred 2 transported PS3 gamers to the fantasy realm of Ancaria for dozens, or sometimes hundreds, of hours when it was released back in 2009.

A few years have passed in our world, but for the lands of Ancaria it has been ages! History has turned to legend, old landmarks turned to ruin, and a new evil in the form of the Ashen Empire has shattered the peace that once was. It is a new era, and a time for new heroes to rise up and fight together.

Today, we're happy to finally show you a glimpse of the next chapter in the world of Ancaria: Sacred 3.

Sacred 3, the newest installment in the saga, is an action-packed Hack 'n' Slash game focused on co-op gameplay. You and a friend can choose any hero and use unique skills and co-op combat arts to defeat hordes of enemies and take on epic boss encounters.

The game supports seamless drop-in/drop-out multiplayer for two players to fight in co-op offline, and up to four players online over PlayStation Network. But be careful, your partner also is your biggest rival for the ultimate goal; to become the greatest...
