Video: Beatshapers Announce Z-Run Out Today on PlayStation Vita

50°
5w ago - Beatshapers Founder and CEO Alexey Menshikov announced alongside a fresh video that Z-Run is out today on PlayStation Vita.

To quote: Hi everyone. We're very pleased at Beatshapers to announce that Z-Run is out today on PS Vita. We initially announced Z-Run in 2013, but we've spent a lot of time refining the game to provide the best possible experience for the loyal PS Vita fanbase.

Z-Run thrusts you into a world that has fundamentally been overrun by a virus that has mutated people into flesh eating zombies that will do anything for their next meal.

Z-Run includes two game modes including a story and a survival mode, with the story mode seeing your chosen character attempting to escape the city one level at a time, while the survival mode tasks you to hold out for as long as you possibly can against the hordes of zombies with gradually increasing quantities of obstacles and zombies.

Our game features two characters, three unique environments, and twelve deadly weapons. There is a male (Alex) and female (Clair) character that can both be customized and upgraded via points that are earned from the XP and levelling up system, with the points being awarded for successfully completing a level.

Video: MechRunner Launching on PS4 and PS Vita This Summer

7w ago - Spark Plug Games LLC Vice President Ben Lichius posted up a video announcing that MechRunner is launching on PS4 and PS Vita this Summer.

To quote: We're proud to announce that our new arcade-action game, MechRunner, will be available for download on PS4 and PS Vita this Summer. This is a game that we've been excited to work on and we're just as excited for everyone to play.

MechRunner tells the story of a rogue scientist and his niece who build a 40-foot tall mode-changing mech in order to fight back against an invading robotic army fueled by a mysterious alien power source. The mech – called the XP-41 – can change between tank and robot modes on the fly and both are capable of massive destruction.

Players will take the role of Allison, the mech's pilot, as they battle the war machines of the O.S.O. (our alternate-1940s Russian Advanced Weapons Division). There's a whole backstory around this conflict, but we aren't going to get into it right now. First and foremost, this game is all about the action.

Here are some of the features:

• Detailed, fast-paced action with a cinematic feel
• Switch between Tank and Robot modes on the fly
• Slice and Dice enemies with your swords (!)
• Extensive arsenal of weapons and customizations
• Unique...

New PS Vita Exploited Game MyStylist Runs VHBL on Firmware 3.15

100°
10w ago - Following up on the PS Vita 3.15 System Software Update, today Wololo announced that the new exploited game by 173210 to run VHBL on Firmware 3.15 is MyStylist with details and a preview video below.

To quote: We announced a few weeks ago that we would release a new port of VHBL to firmware 3.15. VHBL is a homebrew loader for the PS Vita. It lets you run fan-made games and emulators on your PS Vita. In order to run, VHBL needs an “exploit” which requires users to purchase a specific game on the PSN Store. For more details on VHBL, check our VHBL page.

Developer 173210, famous for having ported VHBL to several game exploits in the past, is back at it with a new exploit, and he is kind enough to share his port with us. The game is only available on the Japanese store, and is unfortunately not compatible with the VitaTV.

However, 173210 believes that the exploit in this game cannot easily be patched by Sony, making it a somewhat unique exploit on the vita scene. 173210 had previously released such exploits for the game Pawapuro, but circumstances were different, as that game had already been removed from the PSN before he had announced the exploit.
