79w ago - SCEA Senior Producer Harvard Bonin has announced today alongside a new video trailer that the Starhawk private PS3 Beta begins rolling out on Tuesday.
To quote: After many, many months of hard work we are happy to announce that the Starhawk Private Beta will be live on PSN beginning Tuesday, November 22nd!
As you may have read in Dylan's last post, a selected a number of loyal Warhawk players who have opted-in to receive PlayStation emails will receive Private Beta keys, so if you played Warhawk there's a chance that you'll have a voucher invitation in your email in the upcoming weeks!
If you don't get on day one, don't get discouraged: our Private Beta will be "slow rolled." That means that we'll slowly add more fans and features as the Private Beta progresses.
Making a game is hard work, but it's also a lot of fun! To show you what I mean, check out this new Behind the Scenes video to give you an inside look at the SCEA Santa Monica/LightBox Interactive working life! We really, really appreciate the Warhawk faithful joining us in our Beta efforts.
Hopefully this video will give you all some insight into our day to day lives. You Warheads are always at the forefront of our thoughts, as you will see.
101w ago - Today SCEE Manager James Gallagher shared some E3 2011 video footage of Little Deviants for Sony's PS Vita handheld console.
To quote: Whenever you get your hands on a new game console or electronic gadget, you want to check out all of its shiny new features. Little Deviants is just perfect for that - it uses a host of different player inputs in a collection of games that is only possible on PS Vita.
It's developed by Bigbig Studios, the creators of Pursuit Force and MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, bringing a wealth of handheld development experience to what was one of the most popular Vita titles shown at E3. As part of our program of live video interviews, I caught up with Richard Ogden, Game Design Director, to eek out as much info about the game as I could.
We're not quite done with the E3 replays yet; watch this space.
230w ago - SCEA Santa Monica Producer Tsubasa Inaba shared the following PSP title update today:
I'm happy to officially announce here on the PlayStation Blog that LocoRoco 2 is coming to North America soon! Very soon.
In fact, you will be able to play it on your PSP in less than 2 months -- it will be available in stores on UMD on FEBRUARY 10, 2009! If you don't have a PSP yet, this is a good reason to ask Santa for one.
With even more content than the original, LocoRoco 2 will add plenty of gameplay enhancements (like swimming in underwater levels!) and will feature new story-driven stages, unlockable quests and a new twist to the game's catchy music.
We have also added multiplayer mode via ad hoc. More to come on all of these new features and what else you can expect in LocoRoco 2 soon, so keep an eye out for us. But for now, enjoy this trailer and let us know what you think of it!
248w ago - Endsights writes: The rumor reads: "[The $199 SKU will feature] the traditional Arcade goodies (512MB memory card, etc.), the new Fall update pre-loaded as well as a motion controller and a few motion controlled mini games developed by Rare."
Aside from the motion-controller headline, the announcement of the Fall Dashboard Update (Xbox Experience) being pre-loaded on the system should raise some eyebrows.
If this rumor is true-that would mean that the new Xbox Experience would be hitting Xbox 360 consoles in the very near future; probably before September 7th rolls around.
Again, while this is speculation upon speculation, it is definitely something to look out for in the coming weeks.
