Video: 17-BIT Announces Skulls of the Shogun is Rolling Onto PS4

50°
21w ago - Senior Producer Raj Joshi at 17-BIT shared a video today announcing that Skulls of the Shogun is rolling onto PS4.

To quote: It's been a long road for us at 17-BIT getting Skulls of the Shogun out the door - and we hope you're ready for what's set to be the ultimate version of the fast-paced, turn-based strategy game: The Bone-a-Fide Edition, finally coming to PlayStation 4!

Skulls of the Shogun is a mash-up of turn-based strategy and fighting-game flare, scientifically engineered for lightning-quick rounds, thoughtful strategic play, and a frequently inappropriate sense of humor with its tongue planted firmly in cheek.

And whether you're into single or multiplayer, Skulls has you covered.

You play General Akamoto, Japan's greatest shogun, who's been stabbed in the back on the eve of his greatest battle - and transported to the Samurai Afterlife. But an impostor has taken your place, and it's up to you to shatter his plans and regain your honor as Shogun - of the Dead!

As you play through a beefy 10-hour single-player campaign, you'll build up your undead army, assembling infantry, archers, and scouts, along with a magical menagerie of animal monks.

You'll haunt rice fields, build units, and power up your troops by feasting on the skulls of your...

Roll7 Announces OlliOlli is Rolling to PS4 and PlayStation 3, Details

50°
26w ago - Roll7 General Dogsbody Simon Bennett announced today that OlliOlli is rolling to PS4 and PlayStation 3 platforms with details below.

To quote: Well, it's been quite a rollercoaster for us at Roll7 over the last few months!

Our submission process last year was pretty hardcore, with many a pizza-stained late night at our Deptford HQ, London. The team was pretty much broken by the time OlliOlli came out.

We had broken down everything that was 'wrong' about the game to such an extent that we had managed to successfully convince ourselves that the game would most likely be a flop, a mediocre launch at best...

What we were met with on the 21st and 22nd of January this year genuinely knocked us sideways. There was media frenzy for days, amazing review scores and most of all gamers, real people (not testers or our friends) were playing the game and enjoying it.

There were numerous late-night emotional drinking sessions in central London as we essentially came to the realisation that we were a 'proper' studio with a hit game - it has still not properly sunk in for most of us!

The BIG moment was almost fate-like. We were out doing a belated wrap party on the project at our local in New Cross and at about 10pm (after many rounds of tequila) we found out via...

Video: Starhawk Private PS3 Beta Begins Rolling Out Tuesday

200°
148w ago - SCEA Senior Producer Harvard Bonin has announced today alongside a new video trailer that the Starhawk private PS3 Beta begins rolling out on Tuesday.

To quote: After many, many months of hard work we are happy to announce that the Starhawk Private Beta will be live on PSN beginning Tuesday, November 22nd!

As you may have read in Dylan's last post, a selected a number of loyal Warhawk players who have opted-in to receive PlayStation emails will receive Private Beta keys, so if you played Warhawk there's a chance that you'll have a voucher invitation in your email in the upcoming weeks!

If you don't get on day one, don't get discouraged: our Private Beta will be "slow rolled." That means that we'll slowly add more fans and features as the Private Beta progresses.

Making a game is hard work, but it's also a lot of fun! To show you what I mean, check out this new Behind the Scenes video to give you an inside look at the SCEA Santa Monica/LightBox Interactive working life! We really, really appreciate the Warhawk faithful joining us in our Beta efforts.

Hopefully this video will give you all some insight into our day to day lives. You Warheads are always at the forefront of our thoughts, as you will see.

Video: Little Deviants Rolling Onto PS Vita from E3 2011

50°
170w ago - Today SCEE Manager James Gallagher shared some E3 2011 video footage of Little Deviants for Sony's PS Vita handheld console.

To quote: Whenever you get your hands on a new game console or electronic gadget, you want to check out all of its shiny new features. Little Deviants is just perfect for that - it uses a host of different player inputs in a collection of games that is only possible on PS Vita.

It's developed by Bigbig Studios, the creators of Pursuit Force and MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, bringing a wealth of handheld development experience to what was one of the most popular Vita titles shown at E3. As part of our program of live video interviews, I caught up with Richard Ogden, Game Design Director, to eek out as much info about the game as I could.

We're not quite done with the E3 replays yet; watch this space.

LocoRoco 2 for PlayStation Portable Rolling to North America Soon

50°
299w ago - SCEA Santa Monica Producer Tsubasa Inaba shared the following PSP title update today:

I'm happy to officially announce here on the PlayStation Blog that LocoRoco 2 is coming to North America soon! Very soon.

In fact, you will be able to play it on your PSP in less than 2 months – it will be available in stores on UMD on FEBRUARY 10, 2009! If you don't have a PSP yet, this is a good reason to ask Santa for one.

With even more content than the original, LocoRoco 2 will add plenty of gameplay enhancements (like swimming in underwater levels!) and will feature new story-driven stages, unlockable quests and a new twist to the game's catchy music.

We have also added multiplayer mode via ad hoc. More to come on all of these new features and what else you can expect in LocoRoco 2 soon, so keep an eye out for us. But for now, enjoy this trailer and let us know what you think of it!
