32w ago - Ripstone Creative Director Phil Gaskell announced today that Men's Room Mayhem is coming to PS Vita with details below.
To quote: My name is Phil Gaskell, I've worked on games such as Super Stardust HD, and Dead Nation. These days I run an indie publisher called Ripstone.
We helped teams like Voofoo Studios launch Pure Chess last year, and more recently Big Sky Infinity and Knytt Underground. We love indies and we love PS Vita, and I can't wait to share with you some of the awesome shizzle we're working on this year!
Today though I'm very proud to announce a game we made together with Sawfly Studios, a team of talented guys who are ex-Studio Liverpool.
The game is called Men's Room Mayhem, and as you can probably guess from the title it takes toilet gaming to a whole new level! If I had to sum it up in a single sentence I'd say it's like Flight Control meets Carry On At Your Convenience!
In Men's Room Mayhem you're hired as the janitor of your very own chaotic men's room. You're responsible for directing patrons, keeping everywhere sparkling clean and steering patrons away from trouble!
You need to get your customers safely to the urinals and cubicles in time - otherwise there'll be a few nasty accidents for you to clean up! Avoid...

255w ago - Sony's Director of PlayStation Network Operations Eric Lempel has announced the following today:
Hi, everyone, I wanted to give you a quick heads up that a new PSP firmware update, v5.03, will be released soon. This is a small update that improves system software stability during use of some features.
Although he didn't specify it, as expected the PSP update also patches the user mode exploit hole found in GripShift recently.
That being said, do not update if you have a TA-088 v3 motherboard on your PSP-2000 Slim or if you have a PSP-3000 and wish to run homebrew code. Sony has now added a check that automatically detects the savedata as corrupt, and will refuse to display it on the list of available saves.
257w ago - The latest spark of hope for psp-3000 users!! Great job MaTiAz for the find and +1 to Freeplay for getting it to work on the newest PSP revision!!! From the original article:
Now this is how you start a new year! New exploit, old game! Damn, it's so cool to actually see this beauty working - and on a PSP-3000 no less! The PSP scene was buzzing the other day when MaTiAz found an exploit (read: buffer overflow!) in the three year old game, GripShift.
We'll leave the technical bits for later. Now, we'll have this video from FreePlay do the talking:
Now then, the details: MaTiAz says that they've yet to find any further use for this, but it's still a new exploit. It could lead to further hacks, and for now, it's merely a proof of concept. Be that as it may, this is a great start, and a rather sweet find! Here's MaTiAz explaining the exploit:
GripShift has a buffer overflow vulnerability when loading savegames. The savegame contains the profile name which can be easily used to overwrite $ra. The savegame file is...
258w ago - This guide is an addendum to Blu-ray to Apple TV guide. It explains how to use your PlayStation 3 Blu-ray drive to transfer BD movies onto a Mac or a PC for subsequent ripping & Apple TV encoding.
The primary purpose here is to avoid the expense of a computer-based Blu-ray drive for movies rips. Hardware/Software needed:
1. Sony PlayStation 3
2. USB keyboard & mouse for PS3
3. Windows XP/Vista PC or Mac with Parallels (100GB free space)
4. CD-RW or DVD-RW blank disk
5. Gigabit Wired Network
6. SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive (free PC app)
7. SlySoft AnyDVD HD (commercial PC app, ~$100, 21-day trial available)
8. Ubuntu 8.10 for PS3 (free open source)
1. You have to install Ubuntu Linux onto your PS3. Those who are intimidated by this step or Linux in general - don't worry!
Installing other operating system on PS3 is fully supported by Sony, unlike say "patching" Apple TV. Also, installing Ubuntu is a very simple process even if you'd never touched...
