51w ago - Namco Bandai Digital Content Manager Olivier Latanicki has announced today news of two Ridge Racer releases coming soon to PSN, namely Ridge Racer 7 3D and Ridge Racer Ultimate Edition.

Below are the details, to quote: The first part of the year has been quite busy for Ridge Racer and it is not over: we have prepared two very special Ridge Racer releases on PlayStation Network for the upcoming season!

First, we're quite excited to release Ridge Racer 7 3D license version. In the past, Ridge Racer has kept a tradition of being a launch title for new platforms, so Ridge Racer 7 was naturally the best candidate to become our first digital version of a PS3 game. For the occasion, we've also added the 3D licence in this new version for those of you who'd like to give it a try.

That is if you stay home... or manage to convince whoever you go on holiday with to bring your PS3 in your luggage! However, if you're not-so-comprehensive partner would rather fly away alone than carry you and your beloved home console, just discreetly pack your PS Vita in the bottom of your bag and leave it there until the foamy wavelets reach your feet on the wet sand (but don't drop it at this point).

To quote: Those of you that have been following along know that we at NAMCO BANDAI Games have been very active here with updates on our titles for the PlayStation Vita, including Touch My Katamari and Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen. But, as many of you have been asking me, what's up with RIDGE RACER?

It's out in Japan, and my friends in Europe are already racing... but when are we finally going to get behind the wheel, and when exactly in the 'Launch Window' are we going to hit the road with Reiko again? WHAT'S THE DEAL!?

We know, we know. Launch days and RIDGE RACER usually are one and the same, and while our friends abroad are already racing, the teams have been taking every ounce of feedback into consideration for a full-throttle launch in North America.

Thankfully, today we can confirm that the game will officially become available in on March 13th for $29.99 at retail and $24.99 for digital download from the PlayStation Store.
