It appears that RockStar have released the patch early, possibly to reduce strain on the servers.

To quote: So when RockStar says "Monday the 27th of October" it seems they actually mean "the evening of Sunday the 26th."

The GTA IV trophy patch is now live and ready to be downloaded worldwide.

So if you're not too busy exploring Africa, the Ishimura or Rapture, why not have another go around Liberty City?

Keep in mind that you'll have to start a new game as the trophies are not retroactive. But was anyone really expecting them to be?

Criterion Games has released its update for Burnout Paradise on PS3 which adds Trophy support. Dozens of trophy challenges have been added, including awards for both the Cagney and Bike update content.

The only mishap though - especially for such a massive game - is that you'll have to start again to start earning trophies, because none of them are retroactive.

"We had hoped to use this to retroactively award trophies, but we discovered during testing that this is not possible," admitted Criterion.

"If you're familiar with PS3 trophies already, you'll recognise that this works in the same way as all other games that have added trophy support post-release," it added.

A full list of the trophies can be found on the official site.

That means that if you play at a high level it is possible to unlock more than one at a time playing either beats or fills. Posted by Travis Williams (Sr. Producer, SCEA) today:

Hello everyone it’s Travis Williams, PAIN Producer, again and I wanted to take some time to tell you about the new PlayStation Network Trophies being added to PAIN Downtown.

The last trophy I ever “earned” was in ROTC. That was way back in High School (tragic I know). So, I have been really excited to see PlayStation 3 trophies make their way into games both old and new. It’s a new way to show your “ePump-a-tude”. PAIN already features internal trophies that make the modes challenging.

That’s why it’s so awesome to get to make a whole new set of trophies. Here’s a list of some of the Trophies you will see next month. If the names seem sophomoric or juvenile to you, then you clearly haven’t been playing PAIN enough. That’s kinda “How We Do.”

To answer some questions before they come up...

Q: When will Trophies be available for PAIN? More »

Courtesy of Dylan Jobe (Game Director, Warhawk) via PS Blog:

As the storm of E3 approaches, so does our next big update for Warhawk and with it comes 2 entirely new gameplay modes for every map, including the Booster Packs – and these new gameplay modes are completely FREE!

Before I get into the meaty list of updates, let me start off by saying that Warhawk v1.4 will have its global simultaneous release very, very soon... how soon you ask?

In just about 48 hours — July 16th at 10:00 GMT (that’s 3am Pacific)

When we started designing the new modes, we looked at play styles could freshen up the Warhawk play experience. After all, Warhawk is now almost a year old And after a few months of development and play testing, we’re ready to rollout 2 new gameplay modes that the team and I are incredibly happy with: Hero and Collection.

New Gameplay Mode “Hero”
This is a team-based game mode in which one me... More »

Dylan Jobe has confirmed that the team is excited about integrating trophies into Warhawk for new awards as well as some awards that players may have achieved before the update.

In addition to this, Jobe commented that some but not all of the trophies in Warhawk will be retroactive.

To quote: We contacted Dylan Jobe, producer/director at Incog. Inc., to find out exactly what was going on with the Trophy scheme and got the following statement from him: "We're excited about integrating Trophies into Warhawk for both new awards as well as some awards that players may have already achieved (prior to the update) like rank, combat badges and medals.

As a result of our approach, and to clarify some of the confusion on the Net, some - not all - of the Trophies in Warhawk will be retroactive."

Warhawk remains one of the best PlayStation 3 games available; it's an excellent online multiplayer title that continues to deliver on a daily basis. This is mostly due to the tireless Incognito team that keeps offering up new game versions and booster packs, and perhaps not surprisingly, more are on the way.

Furthermore, Dylan Jobe has revealed the Trophies that will be on tap for Warhawk over at the official PlayStation Forums. In the future v1.5 patch, Jobe says there will be a grand total of 56 new Trophies to capture, and they'll be separated into the following categories:

"There are 10 trophies based on the Warhawk's current stats/rank/awards system. Like getting all your Bronze badges, attaining a specific rank, or earning a number of medals.

There are 34 trophies that are entirely *new* rewards based on Warhawks core game and not ... More »
